Anyone received AP Diver JF V9 yet?

Mine v9 QC shot - lume looks fine to me, now wondering whether it's consistent in real life...

Hands look good.

I think the initial batch of v9s had green hands, possibly left over v6 stock?

V9 has now been out of stock for a few weeks, lets hope this new batch is better.

V7-8 had correct matching dial/hands lume, so no reason why v9 shouldn’t.

Ps. When did you get QC pics ?

Thanks, I think it was almost 3 weeks ago, I ordered one the next day after it popped up on TDs' websites.
frankly speaking won't be surprised if it's actually v7, I won't be able to feel the difference 4 sure lol
It's now with my modder, I will post more pics once I receive the watch

When did you get QC pics mate?

The QC pics we saw a few weeks ago all had green hands. So curious to see when you actually received QC pics. I am hoping yours is the new batch.

The "greenness" becomes more visible after the watch has been exposed to light for a while. Almost like the lume is charged?!
Radioactive maybe?

Possibly. But not as bad as my old v6:

Looks like a relume will be necessary for some V9s. The lume of the dial is clearly different from the lume of the hands on these. The rep lumen is anyway very weak with poor duration.

whats are the improvements on the v9? The v7 with closed caseback was already a super rep pretty much. It was so good I have 2 of them. I personally couldnt tell the difference holding the gen and rep v7 at all.

The main tell on the rep diver (any version) is the difference in the inner bezel numbers. The gen has a white border around the raised lume whereas the rep does not. This is pretty obvious if you know what to look for and I can spot it from across a table.

But having said that, this “tell” are for guys in this hobby and in real life, your statement is mostly right: the v7 (or v3,5,6 etc) can be mistaken as a gen by the average guy who knows the brand but not details of the watch.

Factories claim that the tachy print has improved amongst some other bullshit details.

The tachy is the only visual tell IMO.


Gen tachy. Look at the crisp outline around the “4”. This is missing on any rep. So we are hoping v9 is a step closer to this....but I doubt it.

Of course nobody else will know but who cares about others.

You need gen tachy.

Gen dial is waste of money IMO. Any difference between gen and rep details on the dial could be done to different gen batches but the shaky (non crispy) rep tachy print is an instant sign of made in China. Lol

i highly doubt that crisp outline on the tachy is going to be fixed. If they do it I'd just buy one and swap the tachy. I think the v7 is still king.
