I know it's Xmas and we're supposed to be happy but those guys on the rolex forum piss me off.

I'm sick of threads like "what do you guys do when somwonw asks what kind of watch you have on?"

That's the main reason they buy a Rolex - so people can see it. Then they try and act all embarrassed - Bullshit mate - you love it - it givs you a semi knowing someone is admiring your Rolex.

SO STOP PRETENDINGYOU DON'T LIKE IT WHEN SOMONE NOTICES YOUR $10000 WATCH

PRICKS

Merry Xmas to all at RWI - Have a happy holiday.

lol dont let stupid other people bother you like that.

For some of the other posters: Usually, the ones who would say anything about you cant afford something and be serious are the ones themselves who cant afford it. If hes not joking around he seriously has self issues that have nothing to do with you.

On a side note whenever someone compliments me on one of my watches gen or replica i always smile and say thanks and let them know i appreciate the compliment and them noticing. too many people dont know a nice watch from a $5 POS but thats their loss.

They are very helpful and knowledgable if you have an issue, but I wouldn't talk casually to these guys.

I have a gen Rolex and would only visit that site if I have an issue or wanted to find nice pics of gens to compare to a rep.

JJ was a good guy and I remember the shit they gave him at first - then he was seen as some sort of hero. He was different from those guys though - a true Rolex fan who treated everyone the same - I miss him loads.

Nothing to sweat about over there; they're not real people -- and are incredibly arrogant. After I posted pics of my gen DJ (see: avatar), many wanted to know how many more I had or if I was going to get more. I didn't respond because (as noted in a thread a few years ago) the DJ was a one-time deal. For REAL folks, I am a die-hard member HERE.

Meh....I'm registered there but I've never posted.

It is great fun to look at all the wonderful watches...but the people leave me rather cold.

I have 3 genuine Rolexes I bought before the economic downturn that I very rarely wear any more.

My most expensive one falling off my wrist twice really put me off wearing them, as it is too much money for me to lose if it happens again.

With all the Rolex price increases since I bought them I could pretty much get back what I paid for them, so I just view them as savings.

I got into reps a few months ago, and I get just as much pleasure from wearing my reps as I ever got from wearing the Rolexes.

I like that you can have quite a few of them as they are not too pricey, so you dont get bored of them.

Also, I have learned so much from this forum. I have liked watches all my life but I never really looked at the genuine ones too closely. With an obsession for reps, you are learning a lot about watches, as well as enjoying wearing nice watches.

I have a few gens (Milgauss and PO, Tags) and I'm a TRF member myself (under a different nickname of course) and I always get a kick everytime I come to their local gtg...all they do is praise each other's watches and talk about how much they're making, chicks they hooked up with, etc... One time I stumbled upon one of the guys while doing my grocery and I was wearing my v1 Hublot. He cant believe I own a Hublot...he was practically cursing and saying there's no way I can afford a Hublot, since Im only a regular guy (im just an IT guy) blah blah and he's a rich 40yr old papa's boy... He even asked how long will it take me to pay off my credit card for the Hublot...what a douche...

Lol?! Wtf - are you serious?!

Wow, it's a special kind of social moron that thinks such questions are called for! Sheesh...

Same here..I sold all my gen Rolex's, Omega's and Tag's in mid 2010.

I rememer JJ...didnt he sport a Bluesy for a while....bald guy?

I was into reps LONG before I bought the gens....and I am full circle again. The quality of reps today FAR surpasses reps of yesterday and I hoestly cannot see myself ever going the gen route again. I'd rather have a bunch of different styles and colors of reps that a few gens I am married too.

in fairness, most of the "older" members over there are really very knowledgeable, helpful and modest. I met a few during another gtg in Fort Lauderdale 2 years ago. The younger members are the show offs...

Yep, those guys are twatwaffles.

Merry Christmas!

I love twatwaffles!! Rofl! Registered over there and there are the occasional good threads but like everyone says... Congrats! Lol. Rediculous. Most threads I find are boring and extremely superficial. No real knowledge. Plus as a noob I feel you need to tread lightly otherwise you'll get reamed by dudes that only have money and no balls. Love my sub but don't think I'll buy another gen in 2012. Reps are just getting better and better. Cheers!

I wonder how they would react to the "I banged a Chick With My Rolex Rep On" thread...
Now to be fair, that was an awesome thread, I think it set a goal for all members in this forum.

I'm a new member here but thought I'd voice my opinion. I was remotely contemplating buying a gen DSSD at £7k (using a finance scheme) as I very much like the watch. However before committing I decided to purchase a replica which I have to say I'm very pleased with. Ok I guess it can't possibly be the same quality a £7k genuine is but it is extremely good, and its satisfying - and I have high standards. The main issue is the water proofing, but just as long as its capable of swimming with its good for me as I don't dive.

My logic is I'd rather pay $500 for really good quality repro DSSD with funds left to to buy countless other high quality repro watches than own one gen which basically looks the same anyway!
