Hi,

I came across with this site, www.bosphorusleather.com

I purchased a canvas strap today. Their straps look very nice in pictures, but I don't know how they are in person. Has anybody used their products? I haven't heard of them before. They are very affordable but with nice quality (I can't confirm this since I haven't used, but looks that way). I just want opinions from others.

Anybody?

I got a leather bosphorous strap via a M2M sale a while ago...best strap I ever got

They started small, with etsy. They became bigger and bigger until they could afford their own website. :)

I have one on order. Takes 3 weeks to produce one, god may know why.

For me, this is day one... I ordered two wishing to own every collection they have.

3 week... Gosh, I should just forget about it.

It's not uncommon to wait a long time for straps. I've waited months for Greg Steven, snpr and Jacob straps. I've found the longer you wait, the more worth the wait they are. There's a reason they take time. Demand for quality.

The thing is he promisses that they will be finished in a certain time.

He actually changed my order without asking ne as he was "out of stock" of a certain buckle. 1 hour later a strap on his instagram pops up with that buckle.

I am done with the guy

Better is such a subjective term and price is a factor to consider when talking about quality. So is the price difference worth it to you? No one can answer that question but yourself. I have to say, I own both and they are very good straps. Gunny straps tend to be softer and more pliable compared to bosphorous' products so if that's something you are thinking about, then one more thing to consider. I would suggest getting a slightly used Gunny (they come up frequently in M2M) and get a bosphorous strap so you can make that decision next time you want to purchase another strap.
