just curious to see if any member or dealer would like to give an update on whether or not we
will see the skyland in the near future? i have seen some info saying that this could be
a possibility to be repped....perhaps the process has already begun? in my opinion this is the
nicest breitling out there and i think this would be a huge seller....so deallers if you see this
i think you could sell alot of these.

there are 2 models...the ss version and the black steel version...both are amazing.

heres a link to some great pics of the black steel, which does NOT come with a bracelet option.

I spoke to a dealer about this watch just last week - In his words:

"This watch is definitely in the making..

Maker could not get he blacken steel model. breitling side orders are overloaded for 2 years..

Likely this watch will be made in PVD.

Most likely this watch will be launch early next year."

Should be a good one - I hope they get the color of the case right

I would love to see this if they get it as close as the Bce and steelfish.

Breitling datefont would be nice too

I could see a lot of chrono avenger fans who missed the nice version jumping on this if they get it right and the price is not silly.

thats basically all it is. i think all they need to do is use the case from the ss chrono
avenger...change the dial, get a polished bracelet like the one used on the
steelfish and a new bezel and BAM!! we got a bad ass skyland. :D
.....oh yeah...dont forget the AR.

That is truly a beautiful watch. When it is available I will have to have one. Ho if I can just hold out until the beginning of the year. Seems like a long time.

I'd buy the 'black steel' model in a hurry if they were to rep that model. I don't know whether they'll be able to get it right, though.

Black bezel is not PVD. It's DLC. Pretty different from normal PVD that we see.

i've handled a genuine skyland and i can say that it is quite a hefty watch. its case is all polished too so it gets alot of attention. i prefer it too the chrono avenger

Well, are there any news on the skyland avenger rep coming out early next year?
Actually considering a gen now.. anyone bought from authenticwatches.com before? They seem trustworthy, but I would love it if someone could confirm!

I heard from someone that since authenticwatches are not an Authorized dealer I wont have the international breitling warranty on my watch. And that worries me a bit. Any thoughts on that?

Then buy from an authorized dealer. Unless the price difference is tremendous, it is not worth doing without an international warranty.

Authentic Watches removes all Breitling original markings thus voiding any warranty or recognition FROM Breitling. This means you could have trouble if you go to an AD; anything from refusal to work on your watch to confiscation. What would happen would depend on the AD; they are charged to report and not service watches that have serial numbers removed.(or worse) To them it is like taking funds from the network. You save some $$$ and take your chances. I was tempted to get a couple of gens from them but when I learned about the deal, I backed off. Anyone who HAS dealt with them and then gone to an AD, please chime in.

they can't confiscate your watch. it is your property not theirs. the dealer that you buy from will offer the warranty so the factory waranty is neither here nor there.

nobody on the rolex forum is having any trouble getting their watches worked on.

Not saying they would actually get away with keeping your watch, just that it can cause an unnecesary hassle depending on the dealer. Most likely you will just get a refusal to work on the watch.(and there are some AD's who don't care, they get paid for work) With Rolex you very rarely hear about what happens, they stay mum for reasons only they know - often it is to NOT give much info into their practices. Know this however: these guys (AD's) have their dealership at stake for various rules and violations from the gen makers and they are NOT going to risk that when they can just refuse or hassle you and get brownie points for doing so.! If you are comfortable with having watchsmith 'X' or whomever work on your watch, great! I tend to like to have my gens worked on as close to home as possible, it eliminates problems in shipping and transit. I also have several local very good watchsmiths that I trust to work on my reps. I'm sure they could work on the gens, but the AD's do it with more of a level of security in their workmanship and using parts and sources that are certified, and the cost of working on a gen is roughly about the same wherever you take it. The smaller less discreeet charge just as much as the AD, just do some price checks to verify. Sometimes more because they don't have the same level of access to gen parts. Sorry if I wasn't completely clear in my previous post.
