I am in the middle of having $6000 of work done for $2500...outstanding dentist too.
currency up front is a part of what made it happen.

If you can't afford a dentist ..go to the school....I've done it.
Yes you'll have to wait and go through a little aggravation
But it's close to free.........don't let it get infected from waiting too long

Good Luck

thanks for all the info and replies.

i got several good referals from friends about their dentists. so i started calling for an appointment on wed. morning.

all 3 dentist offices didnt answer their phones - we are open but with our patients right now, please leave your number,

we call you back asap.

3 dentists.....nobody called back - and nobody answered their phone repeatedly.

WTF ?????

This is a sad commentary on the entire service industry anymore. It seems as if they do not care about your business at all.

"This would be a great job if it were not for all the annoying customers" :?

It's a bit of a drive for you, but Mexico has great dentists. I have all my work done south of the line at a super high tech office. Prices are excellent and most border town dentists will have English speakers to translate for you.

And when you're done, you're in Tiajuana which is always fun :D

ok, it seems many people were sending me good wishes. heres what happend.

i considered the dental schools, but i didnt like the long drive and sitting in the torture chair for 4-5 hours.

so, i tried a doc that 2 of my friends recommended.

nice guy, easygoing, thorough, x rays and visual examination. of course i am allergic to local anesthatics.

i know a lot about teeth since i once was going out with a fresh baked DDS in germany that took care of me. and my teeth.

so anyways, this dentist explains everything, shows pics, no BS kinda guy.

i need a crown, to much tooth substance gone.

tooth needs to be build up.....please everybody wish me well that i dont need a root canal.

anyways, i will have to pay 1000 - 1200 $. no way around it.

but now its taken care of. it hurts in times of a lot less work, i will sell some knifes and propably some watches.

thanks for all the well meant advice. greatly appreciate it !
