Yeah so I got in touch but decided that it's talky a gamble. I prefer to at least buy from trusted sources

put them for sale boy

LOL.

It did strike me pretty early on in this thread that it was all a bit Wild West for RWI. As Hazing mentioned - generally we have TDs for a reason. And their value would easily be demonstrated had mrmckhansi's offer to act as middle man ended up with a disgruntled buyer receiving a movement that didn't work or was imperfect. But what are the chances of that eh? ;) This is no reflection on the OP - merely pointing out that as soon as he inserts himself into the process, he would open himself up to grief were there to be any problems.

So FamousDutch's "here's the contact - go get your own movements" approach is more sensible, but falls foul of another RWI rule - you don't advertise non-TDs on RWI. That being the case, the links to contact the movement seller directly should probably be removed.

But I could be completely wrong. So, in case a mod hasn't noticed all these shenanigans, let's see what they think. Raddave

U.K.
We’ve seen this all before and sadly it always ends badly. Surprised mods have not addressed this yet.

Just a reminder guys , any and all sales on RWI (private) must go through the sales board , with tagged pics, conforming to the rules .
Group buys are prohibited , as is linking non trusted dealers .

Agree with it.
I am wondering why the GMT movement is cheaper?
I am using these movements in my GMT and in my Sub‘s.
I paid almost the double and checked with my suppliers which
told me, that price is not possible.
So go ahead and make your experience, I pay double and will be happy.

Hi, my intention was just to figure out how many ppl are interested on those movements. Afterwards i would buy the quantity of those movements at my own risk and after receiving those movements I would open a sales thread as this is the rule of RWI... my intention was not to do any back door sales or similar.

I am also a trusted member here on RWI and in the past I sold a lot of watches and I don’t want to get any bad reputation here...

Yeah, well maybe he wants to become a Supporting Vendor here. Which I'm not sure of the way that works. Probably would need to get approval from staff and so on.

It’s not my intention to become a supporting vendor. Also I do not have so much Time for that...

BTW I didn’t get the point why the discussion is just ongoing? As I mentioned above, that this thread from my side closed, why you guys are pointing out this back and back?

I didn’t sold the movement to anybody, has it was just a question in the forum to everyone who is interested maybe... that’s it... I didn’t scam anyone as well and to clarify it’s also not my style...

So I hope that there will be no further discussion on this...

If yes, than you can discuss but don’t attack or blame me on future or put wrong allegations...

Cheers,

Um, that's not really an RWI rule, never has been. If people don't talk about new dealers we would never find new TDs would we? There is even a non TD review section for that very reason. What we don't want is hot links to non TDs as a general rule because it boosts their SEO at our expense.

Just remember that if something does go wrong we can't assist. If people wish to order some MVTs from this guy I have no problem with that, go for it. Where it went sideways was when people began to discuss a "group buy". A group buy involves sending prepayment to one guy who makes the purchase and that we don't allow as its gone badly wrong in the past.

Now, put the tar and feathers down you lot. The point has been made so lets not harp on it.

Apologies boss - I was actually thinking of the rule regarding posting links to scam sites, which is something else entirely! I shall go away and give myself 20 lashes with a handful of cheap Nato straps.
