I have a Bambu X1c and Resin Printer running around the clock with various projects.

Most recently printed a Tourbillon driven by a stepper motor. Kit on Bambu Labs. Now for the assembly ...yikes..

Props to the original designer of this. I think I am in the right place to say this is cool desk art. Just the movement without the time piece but super fun.

I’ve been using my Bambu X1c and resin printer for some fun projects too. The Tourbillon must be mesmerizing to watch. Good luck with the assembly—I'm sure it'll be worth the effort. Totally agree, it’s such a great piece for desk art.

My resin printer is not up to par even though it promised remarkable resolution. Anycubic 5s pro. How do you like your resin printer. I may be upgrading mine soon.

Bambu Lab X1C w/AMS and an A1 w/AMS Lite...about a month now.

Bambu just announced they will be releasing a new printer in Q1 of 2025!

I had a Prusa MK3s about 2yrs ago...had to build it, was not a fun experience at all...ended up selling it to the guy who got me into printing initally. The Bambu Lab printers are the best OOTB printers for first timers. Still can be a bit finicky, especially the AMS on the X1C... I personally like the A1 better, if you don't have a need for ABS...its ideal!

Thanks for you post, these printers fascinate me but I would not know where to start.

I'm still using filament printers...I actually have 4 of them, although one has been converted to a laser engraver...although I've considered purchasing a resin printer.

What keeps holding me back is that 3D printers are evolving at the rate that home computers did 30 years ago...as soon as you decide on a model, something newer, better, and cheaper comes out, lol.

I've used mine quite a bit, though, and see a great future in the technology. I figure one day, we'll be able to download files to 3D print an entire machine...maybe even a watch...with some assembly required. Hell, they're 3D printing machine guns now, lol, and the technology is still in its infancy.

We run ~18 qidi q1 pro printers printing a few thousand parts per year for mounting various things like sensors or various brackets. They have been great so far, before the qidi we used a few other brands of printers in lower qunatities.

Our biggest problem is the printers remote access for watching cameras or sending prints seems to get slower and slower the more uptime they have, we power cycle them every few days. Its nice having a local camera with no cloud requirements, before those we had a custom camera solution.
