You can just put the dial dots anywhere around the dial to stick to the movement. It doesnt have to line up with the mounting points

If you have a piece of clay or old rodico you can just press an existing 2824 dial into it and mark positions (or use the date window if it has one). The put your new feet in the holes, glue, and sit the dial back on top!

What about using an the ETA movement itself as reference for new feet (place new feet in the mounting holes, add epoxy, place dial on top and line it up....voila). I have thought about doing this, I always encounter problems with DWO clearance issues related to just using dial dots on the movement.

Sorta messy, you dont want to get gobs of epoxy everywhere. the rodico trick is good enough

use the date spacer ring between the dial and movement. It should be used on all ETA movements but I find them absent more than present. Even without an overlay this keep the date wheel from fouling on the dial. Absolutely critical with an overlay.

I hate dial dots...
