Wow!!! Just checked out the pics in Davidsens photobucket. Now that is a decent sized Rolex -- finally one that I would like to own. JP, please post the obligatory wrist shot. I'm sure everyone would like to see.

Which one is it? I cant seem to find it in his photobucket?

It just came to me that I can, so to say, kill two birds with one stone, with this watch. I've been interested in Panerai watches because of the size. I don't wear anything smaller than 42mm these days on my 8.25 inch wrist. That is why I have not gone for any of the rolex reps. But this one gets me both -- very interesting. 8)

I agree with this 100% But the question is it a fantasy watch? I just need to know.

i have search and can not find anything with rolex dial

I need to search more under rolex now... its what it says at the top post.. and enzo has been the tutor.. SO it should not be a fantasy... I ill dig some more... another way to spend my saturday at home babysit.. :)

I just found out from an expert "ThumbWA" that this is indeed a replica of a gen pam watch from the 1930's. But it seems there were very few made then.

Wow, thanks for the hard work and research. This does look like the dial on the davidsen watch indeed!

1953rollie.jpg

I also found out that they were made for the military and may have been a few prototypes made only.

Anytime man.. I do R and D :) :) mostly research.. To bad I failed on this one :( ... Davidsen seems to have more vintage dials on his photobuckets.. I am building frankens watch soon - adding his dials and his casing together
