VDB - What I want to know is why are you stealing ENZO's strap design? He came up with this - I posted photos of it and you have began to copy it.

So what? It just brings more attention to our little corner of the world. He can show off the strap OFF the watch and not open himself up to ridicule.

It continues to amaze me that people want to keep trying this.

It may be tight ass, but I think posting reps on a gen forum is just plain stupid.

Posting reps on gen forums is as DUMB as it get - this is done time and time again. Also stealing people designs and selling them as yours is sad and pathetic.

Posting his stolen design on a rep in a gen forum and soliciting sales it completly stupid - there is nothing tight ass about this!

I would never post a rep on a gen forum. But i was wondering how a davidsen Fiddy would fare on that forum. It has a different serial and does not have cheap lume that fiddy has. Just something i was pondering.

serial number customization

Cost effective 'mass' production that has the serials true to the original gen copied. Pity the poor bugger who has 0581 or 0117!!

It's worth asking, but what would it cost to have a case done w/ different serials?
I would pay extra for a 0117 case w/ a different # - just a thought.

Very intersting. I was just thinking of a second fiddy to have as a backup. I want to use one as an everyday watch and have one saved in my box for the future because you never know if this will all end. I would like to have a unique serial myself besides the two that have been done to death. I would also pay extra for that. also, just a thought.

Great minds think ... fools never differ - I dunno :D I am also contemplating the back-up Fiddy.

My thoughts on the risk relate to:

* risk of protectionism
* WTO, China's a member now
* Swiss 'buckle' (no pun) and do contract in CN, then agreements take hold re the 'grey' mkt
* rising labor cost in CN
* RMB (currency) is at least 15% undervalued
* geopolitical risk inhibits trade
* some time down the track the CN govt uses massive USD reserves to unlock purchases of U.S. corporations, local furore (recall late '80s fear of Nippon) and we have more zealous customs, back to 1st bullet

I'm buying while I can.

It was silly if not stupid for him to post those pics on gen forum, period!

He might have had most honest intentions, I agree with that, but he should have known better.

Also, don't forget many of gen-'Ristis have reps as their daily beaters and backups, just too scared to admit. Those would have picked a rep from gen in a second.

cheers,
babola

I agree 100%. It's like wearing a police(man) uniform when you're obviously not a policeman, and then
walking straight into a police station to show it off, and to expect them to believe you're the real
thing. :roll: DUMB DUMB DUMB.
