gmt II ceramic and dssd

trying to purchase these two watches and am reading about "noob" and "bk".
who are they and do they have a wed site?. I'd really like to purchase both from the same dealer, but also want the best of both watches. I've heard problems regarding the pearl, the aligning in the rehaut and the dimensions of the numbers on the dssd.Ii like the items on trustytime and do not really want to get into any mods. please help - ready to buy - Dan

scorcher - most of the dealers have access to the same factories/watches, so pick a dealer that has good reviews and that you like the look of, then pick the watch you want :) If it's not on their site, send them a link to the site that has it and ask if they can get the same watch!

Dan - are you sure you wanted to reply to this thread and not a rolex thread? lol
Anyway, Noobfactory is a term for one particular factory producing rolex reps, and they are usually good but suffer mis-aligned rehaut engraving, like most rep rolex. The pearl on ceramic bezel versions can be mis-aligned, which is why I prefer to buy from dealers that send Quality Control pictures instead of Trustytime (a personal choice). BK offers Noob products and QCs the watches before sending them to you, as well as modifying the DateWheels (DWs) on some models, along with other mods he details in his listings. (I think he has a section here?) He is more expensive, obviously, but you get better QC and some mods in the price.

Keep on reading before buying anything and hopefully things will become clearer in a few weeks :) There's no hurry to buy, they'll still be available after Chinese New Year finishes on Feb 18th! :)

budget for a b & R

one hundred dollars or less, please. she wouldn't know a quartz watch from a mechanical. it only has to tell time, and have b&r on the rubber strap.
thank you

for the input. a nice watch, but she wears mainly black. and it has to have b&r on the strap cause those are her initials. the br-01 in a quartz version would suit her best. does such a creature exist ? plain face, no chrono. doesn't even have to have a date wheel. i figure someone has to make a super cheap version.
you're in london? a gunner's fan maybe?
thanks

dude tfe, that is a nice one, never saw it before. and it is a bit smaller for the ladies or small of wristl. i did see one at trevortime. br01-93, 46mm, for $88.00. a bit big for her, but then i'll get to wear it!
all the input is great!
thanks guys

46mm is absolutely GIGANTIC for most women. A 40mm sub rep on the wifey wears like a 45mm OPO does on me (6 7/8 wrist). You'd be better off with a BR01-93 or the like, which at 42mm will still wear pretty big on her. Unless, of course, she wants a watch that big.

39mm cheap?

nah not a footie fan :whsitle:

B&R watches are not really "lady-like" because of their measures...But on the same side which named smidsy you find this one...http://www.puretimewatch.com/product/brs-ss-yellow-dial/ and it has the B&R on the strap...

yeah that too....

i like that one and the price is right, but it has to have the rubber strap with br on it. those are her initials, and i know she'd like that.
