The game is to get the bids up nice & high with 1 or 2 shill bidding buddies, then contact the highest bidding real bidder and offer it to him with the excuse that the winner pulled out and refused to pay.
Most of the time it'll work - the guy'll be delighted to win his watch for a grand or so less than the 'winning' bid.
Interesting. I notice the organized criminals don't respond to my emails. It's the novice scammers that respond and come up with ridiculous explanations as to why their watch is genuine. I guess if/when the pros get busted in their scam they just play dumb. I suspect some buyers never realize the watch is fake or are too embarrassed to admit they were duped.
