Never mind the watches, look at these little gems he has up for sale.

I think I got an ear infection just looking at them.

Dude, he sent me the same photos. This guy is a few sandwiches short of a picnic 🧺.
He is, I strung him along until I saw movement pic

I have told him it's fake, china stamp, and he would be ripping people off, haven't heard back. Lets see if his conscience gets the better of him.

At least eBay believes it is real FFS!

eBay sucks
That´s correct in any case.

Here in Germany there supposedly is a "verification process" in place with which the authenticity of a watch will be approved.
I don´t know how this works but I would never buy a watch through Ebay no matter what.

I actually would never buy anything valuable on Ebay for that matter.
I´ve been scammed with a couple of minor items buy two sellers and even though I had paid them via PP Ebay didn´t refund the money because I hadn´t returned the items to the correct address since there were two different addresses on PP and on the seller´s Ebay account.
I had returned the items to the seller´s Ebay address and then PP would tell me that this was the wrong address.
Ebay itself has become a big scam itself in the meantime.

It has gone to the dogs. They must make zillions of dollars as well. And I too would never buy a watch from there, maybe a cheap fun watch... but nothing worth anything over $20.

Well the good news is that will never pass authentication. I reported the listing as well.

"The video of the second hand and the magnified lenses above the date indicator, shell on the time adjuster, very faintly but if you put it to your ear you can hear the tic tic tic tic tic tic really fast which causes the second hand to roll not tick like other watches, all ways of determining authenticity which shows without a doubt this a genuine Rolex "

There you have it folks. We've been doing it wrong all these years.

It's frightening to think someone fell for that.

A solitary stock photo and a 'too good to be true' low price.

As it's a new account ebay wouldn't have sent the funds to his bank until delivery of the item was confirmed.
But it just goes to show what a nest of scammers ebay has turned into. There are multiple listings of Rolex and other watches, either fake or generic pics, from accounts with very very low sales history. The word has obviously got around that ebay doesn't check anything, doesn't remove fraudulent listings.

So sad to see Ebay not caring about protecting its consumers. At the end of the day most folks are one bad experience away from leaving a retailer.
