This guy has bought many franken builds and has spent alot of money if you check his history.... why scam for 2250 you can afford full modified replicas and franken offshores bro...
Maybe he missed a payment on his credit card. Sometimes people fund hobbies with the old plastic and never think about the repayents.

What? Me? Naaaaa. Not me. Ever!

Yeah i agree. Thats what surprised me so much. He was a long standing member of with many sells and many builds. I did not expect him to be a scammer, but as the other members mentioned, maybe he is done with reps and decided he didnt need his account anymore, so make quick buck. But then again very stupid to risk a felony charge for 2k

Agreed. Totally stupid to burn your account on the largest replica forum even if you are exiting. You may come back in 10 yrs when there is an exciting release. I hope you get your money or a rotor my friend.

I think it is a clear case of a person who lives economically / socially beyond their means, and there comes a time when they need money from wherever they can get it.

I have seen this many times, then they apologize, talk about family issues... everything to not make use of self-criticism, they will even make believe that they are the victim of everything ...

the pattern always repeats itself in a loop

Even if they need the money, they can still deliver and ship the rotor. There's no excuse not deliver their end of the deal.

Smells like desperation for cash, who goes from selling a 5+k rep to saying fuck it and destroying the rep by removing the gold rotor out of it and selling the rotor for a loss. If you have money and it doesn't sell as a whole, you just put it back in your box and keep it.

Dude probably got into a bad situation and made the choice to just steal.

Of course, but if he didn't send it is because he wanted to take the money and maybe sell the whole watch somewhere else? Or sell it for parts? Or take the money and not sell at all? Only he knows.

Let's see what excuse he tells us to play the victim... I'll write it down in my book of excuses for the world.

While I've been handling this over the last few weeks, I've been hoping that Bill would just come through. He's had a solid reputation here for years, and l do not see him as a typical scammed type, but as this has been unfolding, it has come to my attention that he has lied previously. Yes, those lies may have been what some would say are trivial, but in my regular life work, I deal with liars all the time, and experience tells me that even trivial lies simply discredit someone's character, and they cannot be trusted.

There have been people who have been redeemed from the Brig and I truly hope Bill comes through here. I don't think he'll regain the trust to engage in future transactions on this platform, but he could continue to partake in this community if he does the right thing.

@ZenWatch Do the right thing Bill

By way of an update, today was the deadline set to avoid this matter being escalated to the police and other authorities. The seller @ZenWatch has been in touch and claims he cannot refund due to the ongoing PP dispute. He has been offered various options on how to resolve the problem. The buyer has given a preference and been gracious enough to extend a deadline for a final time until next week.

@ZenWatch you have been shown mercy and you have the chance to make this right and regain some credibility on this platform. I get that life happens and things need to take priority. I have always hoped this could be resolved easily. You need to come through and prove to all that the good grace extended to you was justified and that you are a stand up guy. I need not spell out the consequences if that grace given by both the seller and I on behalf of the entire mod team, is pissed down the drain.

You have been more than generous in giving the benefit of the doubt and being understanding about the situation. In my limited life experiences, this isn't going to end well. Just my two penn'orth.

Is the PayPal dispute directly related to this incident, or is that a separate issue not related to this problem? I would like to believe he will do the right thing as well. That being said, if the PayPal dispute is about this item, couldn't he just agree with the dispute and let the money be returned and be done with the whole thing? I've never dealt with a dispute as a seller, but I would assume something along these lines would be an option?

Who said he can afford them?

Just because you have a credit card doesn't mean you can afford the payments.

Ask me how I know...

I would hazard a guess that there's nothing wrong with his Paypal account - apart from having no money in it, I guess.

@ZenWatch - your deadline has arrived. You were logged in yesterday - given that you are restricted to only viewing the Brig and access to your ongoing PM's (i.e. with the buyer and I) there is very liitle you could have been doing when logged in, so one would expect that you would tackle the issue at hand.....

But you didn't message me, or the buyer , or respond to this Brig thread. You buyer has now waited two months and you have dragged this out without reason. Despite stating that you will resolve the problem, you have not. You were offered multiple solutions, the buyer gave a preference, and you ghosted. Not only did you ghost the forum for several days, you ignored all emails I sent you and text messages other staff here sent. You then log in yesterday, but didn't even have the courtesy to comment either here or in the PM's we have ongoing.

Your buyer will be making a formal police report as despite his gracious extension of timeframe to allow you to resolve the issue, you have buried your head in the sand. I am washing my hands of this and leave you to the mercy of whatever happens next.

Just as an FYI - In the US of A, if the scammer did get convicted, and he will if the buyer has his ID and all chats/transactions, he could face a light or heavy punishment. In this case since the dollar value was relatively low (nothing insane), the scammer could get a year or more in jail and hefty fines. Since the scam was more than $1,200, it would be considered state level and could get a year in a real life brig.

ZenWatch - Just do the right thing. It's not worth losing your house over or going to jail for. Don't be a piece of shit. I got scammed not too long ago on another forum and was lucky enough to get my money back from PP from a dispute. It's a shitty feeling, and I don't wish someone getting scammed to anyone.

I'm sure ZenDaddy is going to be shitting bricks once authorities arrive at his door to cuff him. Everybody's gangster until the dildo of consequence arrives un-lubed.

No authorities will be showing up at his door…..lol. Still a pretty bad move on his part if he relied on this sub for sales…..smh
