It would appear that you are a member who did not follow some very simple rules. 3 Feking times to be exact.
We welcome you as an RWI member as long as you respect our staff. If you can show us you are ready to read, respect and follow the rules we can move you back eventually. How about a "I am sorry I broke the rules" or "How do I get back in to good graces?"

I see nothing in your post here, just an ultimatum. I dislike few things in life, ultimatums are on that list.

[Moved from IDK's welcome to staff thread. Classless and pointless to post this in that thread.]

Well I apologise for not posting correctly. However I do not apologise for my tone with IDK. I just reciprocated the tone i felt I was receiving. I did make similar mistakes in the past but was advised correctly in a friendly manner and we got through the problem in an amicable manner. Infact Dr. Verylong was very nice to deal with, but I found IDK a bit confrontational.
I posted the inital message in whatever thread I saw were active with moderators. I would have sent a PM but obviously those privileges were removed.
Also my statement isnt an ultimatum, there is no threat at the end of it, but I would rather know sooner than later if I will get my privileges back.
Thanks

Handle things at all times like a gentleman, and soon enough you will receive the same in return.

I was refering to your title that I took from your post. Am I a member or not? You are of course a member here. We are not telling you to leave. But inferring such is like an ultimatum. EG: Fix my shit or I am out of here!

With regard to our mods, you will find that all of them are "nice" to deal with and IDK is a fair bloke. But you kept breaking the rules with reckless abandon and IDK did reach out to you but your actions of silence and re-posting without immediate retort to the concerns were draining. If you thought IDK was curt with you, I don't blame him. We all are volunteers here with no pay, we do a great job with enforcing the rules.

Posting a "Am I member here or not?" with the excuse you are returning attitude is childish and disrespectful. Sometimes in life you have to be humble and slow down.

Next time PM a staff or IDK with a "Hey, sorry I messed up, how do I do this correctly?" Then that would have turned things around for you. In work circles this is how you flip the situation around in your favor. You probably know all this but you sure didn't execute it properly.

If you are ready, start up some PM dialog with IDK to get him back on your side, by all means reach out. Then we can talk about your No Sale being lifted.

Sound fair?

I actually reported 3 different times with 3 different types of links. Photobucket has 4 different types of link: Email & IM, Direct link, HTML code and IM code. I posted a different one each time in the hope it was the right one.
I'm very prepared to speak to IDK about it...

dunno if it's been said, but little hint and advise here:
there's a button called "preview post" next to post reply. if you don't see it, use the "go advanced" button instead.

What ever happened to humbleness and humility? To working together?
People (particularly younger people) have such a sense of entitlement. "I know I didn't follow your rules because I'm just too special to waste time reading them. I do things my own way and the rest of you should simply accommodate my needs because, once again - I'm special. I know I'm special because my parents and my teachers told me so!"
There seems to be an increasing rash of this attitude around here lately.

If someone tells me I screwed something up, the VERY first thing I do is apologize for any mistakes I might have made and then ask them, if not already evident, to help me understand what was wrong and how I can do it differently/correctly the next time.

I guess I must not be "Special".

Well put Roger. Manners, to me at least, are one of the most important things to learn......they go a long way.

Some of the new guys (I'm talking minority here) either haven't been taught them or have forgotten them.

luckily there are mostly great guys here! guys that can put together some fun and clever thoughts. these guys keep the place running, and the tight community is tangled together with these personas.
-with a little luck one of those guys will even chime in here in this very thread eventually

arh man, got ya fools :)

I guess you are right LMR, being a 45000 member forum, I don't think we actually have issues with that many guys. it's just so visible when one guy wont accept being wrong.

Not trying to date you bud, but some wise words "hear" from a guy that's been around the block.

Where I come from "cowboys" like this got put on the nastiest bulls/broncs and got taught a lesson they could feel. Hense why I use yes Ma'am and no Sirs when I talk and know how to use "I'm sorry Sir".

My arena gives free lessons anytime you feel the need to learn. :)

Well, OP, I think that you've gotten a fair description of how things are run around here. And you might take into consideration that you've gotten contributions from staff and non-staff. None of the posts were solicited by staff. In fact, since you are the only one who did solicit an opinion, and no one has backed you on this one, you might have to accept the fact that you are, in fact, wrong on this one.

You did ask in your other thread whether your PMs are permanently removed. The answer to your question is that PMs, once removed, do not necessarily have to be so. They can be added or subtracted with a simple click in your profile by one of the staff. But you have to demonstrate that you can be trusted with the privilege of selling and PM's. You need to be able to communicate with others respectfully and courteously. Next move is yours. I suggest a sensible one. :)

FACT: she is smarter than most of us put together. ;)

Whenever I hear about the old guard talking about how young people act these days it delights me to no end.

Remember how your parents talked about you when you where 20? Age it not always correlated with maturity or common sence for that matter. I was called a "whipper snapper" by the owner of my company today! :picard:
