Alternative to the 111 for a newbie?

Not sure what the OP did but I was recently in the same boat.

Decided on the PAM111 Noob v4 as my first rep to test out the water - must say I am not fussed between "v3.5" and v4, all I really want and holding thumbs for is that I get one which works and keeps time well.

If this works out, next will be a 47mm flavour - haven't decided which one yet.

Ugh... Sorry about necro-threading. Spent way too much time on this forum in the past couple of days.
