Yea can definitely be hair raising. I generally always ask a few questions about each product I buy to the seller. I tend not to deal with sellers that speak very poor English. The one package I didn't get turned out to be a nightmare to deal with because the seller spoke almost no English.

Sounds like a good idea for future orders. I just looked for whoever had the best/most rating on the product I wanted, and on the sellers themselves. It's promising, but I wouldn't be surprised if I had an issue with at last 1 of the 4 orders

I couldn't imagine paying for a watch from an ali seller though. I wouldn't want more than 50 dollar tied up with one person on there

The most common way would probably be "I wondered that too," or someone might say they considered that or thought about that. You got your point across, though. I'm always really interested in observing how people learn English, so I thought I'd chime in!

Thank you and I appreciate it. Usually we "the non native english speakers" or hispanic persons made mistakes because some words sounds or write almost the same in both languages and can be used in the same purpose, like the one I did: "checar" in spanish is to english "watch, inspect", so thats why I used "check-ed".

greetings

So far I've bought about 10 items on AliExpress. I've decided that they use false tracking numbers.

I've received 8 items and none of the tracking has matched up with the delivery. It either doesn't work as the numbers aren't recognised, or it shows incorrect details. For instance, the belt I got last week is still showing up as 'Left XXXXXX Going to next transit point'.

One of my sellers gave me a completely fake DHL number, luckily I have secured a refund on that one. But if you're planning to buy, don't rely on the numbers.

I disputed a purchase today because the number was obviously fake. Successful dispute. Seller msged me afterwards to apologize and say they had too many orders and forgot about mine. Even asked if i wanted to make another order.

Pure bs. It wasn't a case of forget. It was clearly a scam. If they had really forgotten, why was a fake tracking number given.

I bought one of those electric scooter things that seem to be the crazy at the moment. £250 / $320. Seller was having trouble finding the time to ship it to me then changed his listing because apparently you're not allowed to ship batteries so he couldn't ship to the UK. He said he'd try ship it to me again despite what his listing said and then a couple days later said it got stopped by customs. Then I had to wait 6 days to open a dispute because he'd marked it as posted. Finally got the dispute ended today and refund processed.

Not really sure how they can scam anyone as they don't get a penny until delivery is confirmed ????
I have to admit though that most of the tracking ive been given is useless, have recieved around 10 items and 6 on the way at the moment.ive successfuly disputed 2 ordered and had a full refund without returning .it seems pretty safe if you ask me

You're right, but I was still freaking out about loosing my payment! What I don't understand is they don't gain anything by giving false tracking info... I could take delivery of a belt, then say I never got it and get a refund and keep the belt and they'd lose product. It makes no sense to me.

I was thinking the exact same thing mate, I've had a few that had fake tracking and nothing stopping you saying you hadn't (not that I would of course), maybe they give fake tracking but keep the real ones to hand in case of a false claim etc ?, either way it's a bit bizarre

I can confirm that if they don't give you the tracking number you will have a free product in hand

No tracking number or fake tracking number = product not sent by seller in the eyes of AE so your dispute will always in your favor. Just logical
