DhGate still has watches, so they're better for that. Basically the same as Ali. Don't expect TD quality and you'll be fine.
My question wasnt in referance to watches if im honest, im questioning the sites reliability in general mate [emoji1]

It's good. They seem to have all the same protections as Ali.

Thanks for the reply. Tired of trawling ali to find stuff tbh, when you do find it, its gone in a flash

The one downside of using DHGate is not enough people are using it yet so searching by orders isn't as helpful like it is on Ali. Also, because the order numbers are low, there is less of a chance of real user photos in the feedback.

I found Ali hit and miss, even products from the same dealer can vary in quality, always expect crap and you will be pleasantly surprised sometimes the good stuff cancels the bad stuff.

I found both to be equally safe and reliable for purchases but the process is different. DHGate, unlike AE, has an unlimited purchase protection (i.e. The seller does not set the PP time) but also unlike AE DHG does NOT penalize the crooked sellers as strictly. The complaint process on DHG is also different - if the seller rejects your claim, your complaint is rejected and you have to escalate it in a separate round. Bottom line is that I had several disputes on both (from over 100 purchases) and several AE issues had to be escalated before being resolved. On DHG the seller's will tell you what to put in the refund request and then agree to it.

I appreciate that this is an ali thread, whilst stuff is there its getting harder and harder. Has anyone used dhgate much ??? Its a vast wealth of anything and everything, has anyone used it much ? Ive bought hundreds of things through ali and never been stung, if ive recieved junk i just get my money back. So is dhgate safe to use ? How does payment and complaints work ? Many thanks

I have 6 orders completed with DHG now. One of them I never received and I believe the seller never sent it. DHG gave me a full refund. Two other orders I had discrepancies and I asked for $15 off each one and sellers both agreed. Its pretty much the same as AE in my opinion. Ive had about 20+ orders on AE with only one or two problems which AE fixed.

Currently waiting on a pair of replica Rayban's, as well as a t-shirt.

I've purchased 5-6 watches off of ali, as well as two pairs of shoes. Only really happy with 2 of the watch purchases, but those were the more high end pieces. I guess you get what you pay for in terms of quality.

But i wont order lenses anymore. they dont have any UV protection.

All photochromic lenses block UV.

Yes, you choose the frame, select a lens or ask seller about which one suits you along with the prescription and then order together.

I had no problems whatsoever buying from DHGate. Payment process is identical to Aliexpress for what i can see.

However, few things for which DHGate has ample room for improvement (on top of those already mentioned like lack of good feedback):

- item description is in 99.9% of cases useless.
- photos are damn small
- app UI is way worse than AE one
- browsing through stores with lots of items (e.g. that jason007 store) is a pita

But yeah, all the good guys are there now so hopefully things will get better there.

I bought regular lenses and they also have UV protection.

"Polycarbonate lenses block UV rays without an additional coating."

AE prescription glasses are ridiculous deals.
I've bought a cool OV5186 with photogrey lenses for me (I get so many compliments) and some elegant Silhouettes for my mom for less than $100 total. Whereas a local optical store quoted me a "LIMITED TIME ONE WEEK ONLY" deal price of an ADDITIONAL $120 to upgrade the lenses i chose to photochromic. Crazy.
