Anyone pick up any deals on the anniversary sale? Why do they give you a better price if you use the app?

If I had to guess, they want to onboard people so that they can do more push alerts/notifications for sales and coupons to get people to buy more. They might have better conversion rates from the app than the store, too.

If I were paranoid, I'd say the app is mining data and phoning it all back to China.

Perhaps that provides an unwanted (for AE) cooling off period.

Question mate, why would you buy these in reps?? Where I'm at I can get converse pretty decently priced. Probably around the same from AE. I've never seen this mode before though, and I actually really like it.. I may have to look into them at my local converse store. Not these, but the regular converse make great driving shoes! Lol

As for the price, here i can find them from 60 bux upwards, on AE you can easily find them for 25...you understand..you get 2 pairs instead of one. When you have young kids who devour shoes you needa be smart with money

This was my thinking too, except I walk so much I tend to go through a pair of shoes every two months.

Only problem I ended up having was that all stars have terrible rain traction.

You can skip the payment on the app as well. Just buy it there with discount and pay on the browser, that's how I usually do it

I'm constantly on my feet, up and down flights of stairs, literally all day long and my cheapo Skechers are still damn comfortable!

I got some basic AllStar hightop for under US$ 20.
They are indistinguisable from the Gens, except for the size. I am size EU45, and these fit me. But they state size 41.
Rejects perhaps??
Unfortunately the store no longer exists, otherwise I would have bought more.

I do too.. Especially for driving! But I understand that.. I'm against a "tool" (shoes) as reps. Just because I have bad feet, and walk so much. But I have no problem with them! But I can understand especially for kids. They grow quickly.. Lol

Same here.. But I've bit the built on some expensive dress shoes and they hold up quite well. I also like rockports.
