I've had some great items from Ali, mostly because I did my research before buying. This thread became rather good for that until recently. Sadly not anymore but if that's what people want to do with their time then good for them. There are plenty of other places to look.
That said, I completely disagree with the deleting of items off of someone else's information document.

Of the 20 or so Ali purchases I've made, 1 has gone straight in the bin. Some items have been good enough quality for me to think that I would've been foolish if I'd bought gen. Some of the biggest bargains I have had are non branded.

As for the posting of links making sellers disappear... I would guess any item which sells more than around 50 times will be closely scrutinised by whomever is screening items on Ali's behalf. That would make items/sellers disappear far quicker than a link posted on a replica watch forum. Just my opinion.

I've personally discovered and received quite a few items I really like through this thread, stemming from fellow user's and personal research and effort.
While I appreciate "free speech" concept, it has definitely went downhill lately.

Why don't the couple of you create your own thread and enjoy the crap you are talking elsewhere? Once again destroying a thread that was useful but now it's total trash and not worth anyone's time.

Thanks gents! I am moving on and hopefully I find a thread that you think is useful and I will lay a giant turd in it and destroy it over time.

Macy's, Nordstrom, Saks, Nieman Marcus all have them. Just wait for good sale or go to their outlets. Don't waste your time buying clothes that won't fit.

Buy the gen or cheap drugstore sun glasses if you buy from Ali you'll get a pair with no UV coating that's why theirs are so cheap.

No bullshit if you go back and read you'll find a buyerr who said exactly that. Brand name fake sun glasses with no UV coating. Which is why I suggested cheap drugstore sun glasses instead of wasting time on the Ali fakes.

Absolute BS!

No, not really!

I have a UV measurement thing which is very similar to those used in optical shops. So, I was curious..... I bought some sungalsses from Ali. 4 pair or Raybans at price points from $10- $45. Only one pair was UV400...the most expensive. The others were not. I also contemplated buying some prescription glasses from ALi. Messaged a few sellers and asked if their lenses were UV400. Two responded they were not. One did not know or pretended not to know. The others never responded. So, you take the risk if it's worth it to you.

Exactly right. I bought a couple pairs of RayBans and a pair of Persols (around $45 USD) and the Persols were UV protected and none of the RB's were.

I personally would not buy sunglasses without proper EU certification.

I think he's right. My nephew burned his retinas.

Speaking from experience having had 4 pairs (holbrook, jawbreaker, persol, arnette) tested now and all having passed UV400/100% at an opticians (just walk in and most will do for free).

By all means he can be free to warn people of the possibility of danger, unfortunately it is a reality and I hope your nephew is ok but the blanket statement "if you buy from Ali you'll get a pair with no UV coating that's why theirs are so cheap" is utterly worthless.

I have never had a tested pair from ALI not pass a UV test, maybe thats just luck and there are many videos and posts on other forums that back up that plenty of the glasses on Ali are UV protected! Lets try sticking to facts and not incorrect assumptions.

Exactly what many others have said. But if you put sun b!ock on a fake pair they will pass a test, lol.

I have 2 pairs of Holbrook glasses off of Ali. Polycarbonate lenses inherently carry UV protection. How much they cost is immaterial.
