Mr. Valentine,
I am very curious , what are the differences between Full grain, Top grain and "ordinary" Genuine leather?
Thank you for your answer in advance
The strongest and most durable part of the hide of an animal is just below the hair. The grain pattern in this part of the hide is very tight, and the leather made from here is called "full-grain" leather. Full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable leather. Additionally, since the grain is so tight, it resists moisture very well. Over time, full-grain leather will look nicer and nicer and develop a patina from being handled.
The next best—and second strongest—leather is called "top-grain" leather. Top grain leather is similar to full-grain leather, except that the top couple millimeters have been sanded and buffed to take away imperfections. With the top layer removed, the leather will have a more uniform finish, but it won't be as durable—and it will break down much faster. This is more of a "cookie cutter" leather that most leather wallets and handbags are made of, which lends to their generic appearance. Top-grain leather can be good leather, but its strength and durability is not even close to the strength of full-grain leather.
Anyone bought any good bluetooth speakers off AE? They have bose soundlink but seems all the cabinets are plastic and not metal like the gens.
Hutmtech tell the Bose Soundlink 3 for approx $160, I can't find any differences from a genuine one.
Can you send me the Link please?

Can you send me a link for the tee shirts please.
No problem. Here's a pretty good definition of Full Grain vs Top Grain. "Genuine Leather" is pretty much what's left.

These pic will show you the difference between the three.
Here's another pic from a manufacturer of belts. Notice how the fibers are different between the grains. More vertical for the higher end vs the horizontal of the "genuine" leather.
So this is the link for the mb bag
These are the photos I just took
Feedback: it comes in a canvas bag and has some MB tags. It's softer than I was expecting. It closes both sides through magnets. There are no visible effects minus a small black dot on the star on one side which i think i can remove scratching it(maybe visible on 3rd photo). The lining inside smells awful and i'm leaving it outdoor with a sachet inside to get it sanitized The leather or faux leather or PU leather really smells leatherish and it's definitely better than any PU i touched before.
Fits a vaio 13" comfortably
All in all I'm happier than I thought. If you remember I was a bit regretting the impulse purchase on my previous post, but I think i will use it no problem. Will let you know how it holds up after a while. Definitely value for money.
Thanks for you Quick replay.
Crocodile, or Ostrich leather is different?
If one can see the scales it is Always full grain???

I saw that a few of you have found boxes for your watches.
Has anyone found anything to store about 10-12 watches, and cufflinks/tie pins?
Guys, any good ties ?
How do they fit after a wash may I ask? I haven't washed mine yet. Will they lose their shape? But I do agree. It's good for the price.I got a few gym shark tops like this and can testify to their quality. Nice stretchy material.
Aliexpress has billions of listings. I just seems unlikely that someone who works there is viewing a thread in an attempt to find those selling counterfeit problems, since it is pretty easy to find them. I bet Rolex is hanging out on the forums too looking for the trusted dealers.
Rep points incoming when I get to my desktop. No problem. Here's a pretty good definition of Full Grain vs Top Grain. "Genuine Leather" is pretty much what's left.

It very easily could be "100% Genuine Leather" at that price point. One of the biggest scams in general is the leather trade. As a novice leather smith, I got to learn far more than I wanted to know about leather. GEnuine leather isn't the top level of leather. It's actually third in quality. Full Grain and Top Grain are far better and what you will see the gen of these items made from. The difference in cost alone is astounding. I just bought a hide to make a leather portfolio and I used a tanned full grain leather and the hide alone cost me about $200 and it was only about 1.5 square meters. An equivalent "genuine leather" hide would have been as low as $10. And that's my non wholesale price.
