Alcantara for carbon diver

Several weeks ago, zorro pm'ed me about his wish to have an alcantara strap for his carbon diver.

I have checked with the maker, and in short time he has sourced 2 pieces of alcantara a black and anthracite one.

Alcantara is a pretty cool material as it is much more resistant to wear and tear than suede while having a similar appearance.

I though it was a nice idea, and the strap will fit the CF Diver very nicely, so if the result looks as i expect it to i may add it to the regular production menu of saffiano and croc.

Stay tuned, in about 10 days i will have the straps in both black and anthracite made.

Cool idea, the lining on my Oem RBII strap is Alcantara and it's super comfortable on the wrist, love how your constantly evolving SMP :thumbsup:

Alcantera rocks, such an amazing material indeed.
It can be found in most high end cars - headliner on AMGs, steering wheels on some Lambos and Fcars as well as seats in Porsche GT line cars. Sweet stuff and cant wait for this strap, ill purchase one!

I had a custom alcantara strap made for one of my Panerai watches:

In terms of water resistance, there is none. I would never get this material wet - so keep that in mind.
