Getting a bit tired of this but I'll give it one more shot because I can't shake the feeling that at least part of this is a misunderstanding.
First of all I was making fun of the thread by attempting to induce more fear to the fearsome. Especially those fellows who always make a fuss about "being called out". As if that is even a thing. But the irony in my post seems to have failed. At least with you. Whatever - maybe lost in translation. The subtleties of a foreign language.
However, there is one subject that could cause real hassle though imho (under certain circumstances): tax evasion.
You said that it depends on how you look. My reply is that it doesn't matter how you look. People dress up looking like they have a $1 million and then there's people that dress like they have $100.
That was my point. We all know that it's often the "poor" who dress up in designer clothes. The rich wear things under the radar. Look at Bill Gates. But no matter what: Celebrities can't disguise themselves wearing rags, and the poor pretending to be rich will be sniffed out as well. I am sure those border officials develop a sixth sense.
Look.... this is really really a silly discussion.
No need to belittle what others find interesting to discuss. That's not very nice is it.
On the other hand I am also loosing interest. As much as I enjoyed stirring the pot a little.
If there are people who want to go through life worried about getting stopped by airport security or customs because of a watch they're wearing, then don't wear one.
Agreed
What do you want me to tell you?
Nothing, all good. I was simply trying to comprehend at what point things got lost in translation.
But I refuse to live in fear.
That's cool. I'm the relaxed type too.
I've never had a problem and I'm pretty sure that I never will.
Well, all the best, fingers crossed. Statistics are in your favour. Most of us live their lives as if problems never occur until they do. And I believe it's better that way, otherwise we'd all live in constant fear. Which is pointless as we seem to agree upon.
