Smidsy: you are very coy about this 'shelf aging compound' stuff. Can you be a bit more explicit--and also the differnce between using it and not using it. Judging by your photos I can't see how the chemical 'aged' it. You my friend, have done what I intend to do--though not with the blue hands. Beautifully done!

it's just regular off the shelf ageing compound. It's meant for things like brass bronze and leather but it has a very subtle smoothing effect on the case :)

Thermite is probably the fastest way to age a watch....

erm sure drop me a PM and I'll see what ui can do ;)

may i ask you how u were able ro relume hands. what movement this watch had?

my modder (Rex450 from repgeek) spent 3 months trying to do that on my BR03-92 with eta 2836 and was not able to due to the lack of clearance between hands and dial. he tried even different CP. vac refused the job too siting that BR with DG4813 mvt only can be lumed properly.
