Hello dear watch lovers. After buying several watches, finaly ordering a Pepsi, waiting 4 years, having it on my wrist almost daily for 2 years and not really being happy and selling it, I am now addicted to the Submariner. Since the local Rolex dealer will never never ever sell me a watch again, I ordered a Submariner 126610 LN 41mm VSF Black Dial VS3235 from Geektime. An Austrian watchmaker then polished the rehaut, serviced the movement and tested it for leaks at 8 bar. So far so good.

BUT NOW I have discovered these incredible vintage Submariner watches in this forum and I am totally thrilled. I can't believe how much energy and ingenuity the guys put into making great things. Now I have to read up for hours and days to buy one of these incredibly beautiful vintage Submariner Reference 1680 - “Red Sub” anywhere in the world.

Nice to be here, best regards, Peter

I’m with your sentiment and assume many do. First found the forum out of AD frustration, scored the first nice rep of a newer piece only to discover the world of vintage here. Now I have an equal amount of each but get far more compliments on the vintage models which are often more understated than the newer ones.

I would rather have the Gen Frenchie personally.
To be completely honest - this is a Franken-French.
I had him made by a very trustworthy dog maker in Burgenland.
He is 45% original French, 45% Boston Terrier and 10% Pug.
And he has a heart of gold and the courage of a lion.

Best Dog ever - he is my buddy.

PS: Sorry for off-topic

...Since the local Rolex dealer will never never ever sell me a watch again...
May I ask, why would the AD won't sell you anything again? is there an interesting story there, or you are just somehow referring to the dreaded wait list for a Rolex?

I had a French Bulldog x Pitbull an 'American French Bull Terrier ' my best buddy for 14 years. Longer snout, ears he could flick up or down , full tail,no breathing problems , ripped, super energetic , could scale a 6ft fence panel ,chocolate , handsome fecker...💔 when he passed .

Good luck with your search.

I'm sure the buyer called or visited the AD to make sure everything was OK with the GMT.
So I am branded as a scalper and they will never sell me a Rolex again.
They don't say that to my face but they don't talk to me much anymore.

All of this Rolex AD waiting list crap, telling people what they can buy and the 6th grade cold shoulder business is getting old..

Sorry to hear this man.

Wait, so if I get a Rolex after years on the waiting list and then I sell it for a profit they can "blacklist" me?
Rolex can be real shitty to their customers when they want...

It wasn't Rolex that blacklisted me.
But the AD did not respond to my request for a Submariner, even though I asked twice now the last 2 years.
Of course they are super nice, but that's about it.
And there is territorial protection in Austria. I can't buy in another city - they refer me to the AD in my city.
Sophisticated system.

PS: but that's whining at the highest level - there are far more important things to do

Well that sucks...
And you're right, whining about an AD not selling you a Rolex is the kind of problem that everybody wishes to have :D
