I shouldn't do it with a knife, unless you want to scratch it. Watch makers use a 'sticky ball' for open these kind of cases. You could trie to find something sticky and trie to turn the case back against the clock.
BUT, if I was you I shouldn't do anything on the movement, unless you're a watch smith.

SUCCES!

don't pry anything!!

it screws off.

so how do you screw it? simple.

you take a little rubber ball, like a racquetball, apply some pressure and turn.

counter clockwise of course.

these are balls sold on ebay for this purpose:

be careful with your watch.

Actually a watchmaker uses a caseback removal tool, not a stickyball.

OP: the caseback screws on mate, you won't pry it off with a knife. If it's not too tight you may get it off with a wad of duct tape rolled up sticky side out and applied to the back and turned anti clockwise.

When you say clinking, it's not just the rotor spinning is it?

Hi trailboss,

I actually managed to unscrew the case back. Its definately not the rotor spinning cos what i saw was - the rotor seemed to be v loosely fitted, hence causing the clinking.

Newbie to internals of watch so i didnt dare do anything much, just took a video and hope to send to TD to see what can be done :p

btw is there any DIY solutions for loose rotors ? - is it missing a part ? or can i fix it DIY

Thanks and appreciate your advices
