A bunch of rich, hollywood elitists stroking each other and telling the world how great they are.

I couldn't agree more, and my wife has to watch every single one!

The whole spectacle was pretty amusing Ellen Degeneres blow/suck notwithstanding, the high point being Marty Scorcese winning best director and best picture, that was rich. He is one the the greats and it was good he finally won.

Never cared enough, never will. I've seen movies that won a LOt of awards and I thought the sucked ass. I've seen indie flicks that will never get an oscar but were able to blow my mind.
