Never heard of that and not really sure why someone would even want to do that as the plexi is actually and integral part which makes this watch what it is. I don't know. some other's opinions may differ, but I like my watches to replicate the gen in as many ways as it possibly can. the plexi is actually part of the aesthetic look of that watch and without that I believe would change the way it looks and presents itself.

The plex crystal gives the watch a different depth and a peculiar clarity of the dial since it's naturally less reflective than sapphire. If scratched it can be easily buffed with polywatch, but some wear on it adds to the vintage look of the watch imho

Ahhhh! I am in Paris right now, and i just visited the Panerai boutique here. I never thought I'd be into a 47mm watch, but i fell in love with the 422 as well. My heart broke when i came back here to the forum and discovered there was no good Rep. I'm actually tempted to buy the gen now. Lol! My wife is surprisingly OK with me getting the gen, as she really loved how it looked on me. I'm just afraid she's luring me into buying it so that she can buy something equally expensive.

Hi, for the moment Your best option is to go with the 372 (no small seconds); But before You buy it, take a look at the new PAM 425 as well. So much too choose from....
agreed.. best option to satisfy cravings now is to get the latest 372.. better rep of 422 might have to wait for it.
