The screws are blue which signifies a higher grade finish on the 7750 than Tag Heuer use for this watch.

As you can see, the screw heads are silver. This is the lowest grade finish that you can get on a Gen 7750 I think and it is the one used by Tag Heuer as their calibre 16 movement.

Also, I bought a rep of this watch and it did have the blue screw heads so I think it maybe common for this rep to have blue screws.

This is why im fairly sure this one is fake.

Adjust contrast and the serial can be read as LY3487 it is the "standard" fake serial. In fact I have just cecked on reeder139's other post and you can see the same serial on that one too!

I emailed him (her) from my ebay account and asked for a clearer pic of the "back of the watch". I didn't ask for a "shot of the movment" as that would indicate I had a clue. Well, I don't, but anyway, given the discussion here I thought I'd try and flush him out a bit by getting a better pic. Just for fun, the way people scam those Nigerian email scammers. No response yet.

I bet it won't get removed even as reported. I've watched so many fakes get through to the end. What's the point of being able to report it if they don't take it seriously.

Plus, they're unlikely to have anyone who is an expert in these things but you would think a company as large as Ebay could employ a replica watch expert, there are enough listings to keep someone busy forever and there are loads of fakes on Ebay right now which are far more obvious than this one!

Maybe one of us lot should apply...?

This watch was won by someone with a brand new ebay account putting in a ridiculously high bid.

Because of an issue with the serial number the girl? Sarah Wells said ok not to pay for it.

Subsequently the brother? emailed:

Hi *********,

Thanks for the quick response. It's Richard, I was using my sisters ebay account. I won't say anything to my aunt as I know she did pay an awful lot of money for it whilst on a cruise! I Would accept £400 for the watch as for any less it is would be worth more for me to keep it, as I have worn it as the real thing for the last 6 months.

Kind Regards,

Richard

I'm confused. Can't access ebay right now, but the bidder might have been a sham user by the seller to bid it up. Where did you see the comments about it being OK not to pay and the email from "Richard"? Was that visible on the sale page?

I'm also confused. It was a private listing so you can't see the winning bidder. Who are these emails from and to.

Please explain :)
