I just came across this on eBay, Seller aka Frakenwatch is selling fraken watches on eBay. He seems to have sold freely a few Explorer 1016/5500 & Tudor Snowflakes.

Well its one way to get a cheap rolex. Although I wouldnt trust him. You could get home, and there might be bits of dried rice from guangdong inside.

Bumping this thread a bit I was looking for something else and came across this thread. I came across "Frankenwatch" on ebay in May. I purchased a Rep Rolex Sub from him outside of ebay. I told him what I wanted and he found the parts and put it together for me and airmailed it from Australia. It's a good looking Watch I get compliments on it and am enjoying wearing it. I did wonder if the movement was a real eta Tudor movement or it just has a Tudor signed rotor on it. I can say that the watch runs excellent. I leave it on my watch winder a couple of weeks at a time and I only lose 2 minutes. So the movement is a good one.

He used a Sandoz case with altered crown guards and I wanted it high polished. Singer signed dial, gen bezel and crown. The only thing I don't like about it is it has the Sandoz case back and I would like to put a Rolex case back on it but can't find one that fits.

I probably spent to much money on it, but not as much as watches he is selling on e-bay. However i'm fairly new to the rep game so what do I know.

Thanks for sharing. That top crown guard is hilarious. Send it to a modder here, should be an easy fix.

yep. I'd say without a doubt the guy is incompetent and from the looks of the work and prices a rip off artist. How the hell could you forget to shave both crown guards? lol so silly. Yes like mech said, contact one of our watchsmiths here and see if they can fix that upper crown guard for you. Literally will take 10 mins. I do my own, but if you've never done it before probably a good idea to just send it off to have it done.

I;m new to the rep world if something could be done to fix it and make it better I am all for it. Which watchsmith would you recommend? I'm in NYC.

I was considering buying a new case for it and going that route. I looked at the Yuki Tudor cases a while back and they were expensive.

I recommend only buying from our trusted dealers. Period. you know what you are getting. you are not overpaying like that guy is doing. and you are backed by the site if for chance there are any issues.
