Long time I didn't post here, to buzy.
The Rolex company produced in the sixties a model of 1675 with a specific case. The particularity was the pointed crown guards style, instead of the regular square model of cases. These watches are called "El Corniño" (the horned) by the collectors community. Earlier models were featured with a small triangle GMT hand.
I reproduced 2 of these old models : the oldest with the "chapter dial" (very difficult to find) and a rivetted bracelet. The second one is more conventional wit a regular "rail dial" and a jubilee bracelet.
Both watches on the external visual aspect look 100% like the original gen models : case thickness and side lines, plexi high and design, crown guards design, crown size and lug holes diameter. Gen dials of course.
Genuine El Corniño with the small triangle GMT hand are sold in France between 8.000 and 12.000 euros according condition.
The Rolex GMT 1675 is the most difficult watch to replicate. NO ONE DEALER SELLS AN ACCURATE 1675 : dials are wrong, plexi also, cases and bezel ring used are Submariner models.
To build these watches I use the 1/1 1655 Explorer model as the 1675 uses the same case, the only difference is the rotating bezel. The bezel complete assembly is an aftermarket complete set. The movements I use are the Asian DG-3804B, a true 4 hands GMT movement, 21600bph which is correct. Asian yes, but strong, accurate and better than these ETA 2836-2 with the hazardous 4 hand transformation. The ETA 2893 whitch is a true GMT movement doens't fit the case (tube position) and its an expensive 28800bph movement.
Now pics, not very sharp, I use a cheap camera with a bad lens, sorry.
More detail pics of case back vintage stickers and custom touches on movements ASAP
Both watches will be for sale here, on RWI in september.
The goal : funds will be for VIP statut and upgrade with gen vintage Rolex stuff
