A new improvement on the AP@12 movement ?

Just got those pics from LFH about my AP ROO Navy Theme.
It seems that the central gear got an improvement

That's an unexpected surprise.

Did they add jewels to any other gears?

It was a standard offer on a Navy Theme...LFH has discovered this new gear in servicing it...but I don't know if they put that jewelled gear on all AP@12 now...

new APs have this jewel in the central gear. It is not new, at least not so new.

Anyway, the main reason APs are problematic is explaining in the following link. It is a problem based on wrong assembly. No a friction problem.
