Hello community.
My name is Vincent. I discovered my passion for the craft of automatic watches quite late and originally came from the field of restoring vintage motorcycles from the 1920 to 70`s However, watches take up a lot less space
I wasnt interested in reps for a long time.
The ones I saw were souvenirs from friends in Turkey or Asia, which were of very poor quality and workmanship. By chance, I met someone much later someone who had been involved with the topic for years and was confronted with the words franken, modden, etc. for the first time. I decided to read up on the topic and was more and more drawn into it - I thought it was time to change my view.
After I had intensively studied AP, I treated myself to my first 15202 this year.
I've been reading the forum for a few months now and I'm amazed at how much concentrated knowledge can be found here and how much effort and passion many of you invest in feeding the community. Many thanks to all content creators.
So now, next up is a Rolex Daydate or Milgauss We'll see which one inspires me more in the end. The AP is and remains “my favorite” in any case What I'm also interested in soon, are the watchmaker's tools themselves and the ability to maintain the technology myself or even to make mods myself (the basic craftsmanship and the tools/machines are definitely here in my motorcycle workshop ). I'm curious to see what else can be found on this topic.
I'm already looking forward to the many hours ahead in this forum. In this sense - See you and let us enjoy our hobby.
Best Regards
Vincent
