This is one of a handful Rolexes (just the 1908 itself and the Platinum Daytona) to have an open caseback, so ....

8F is the same factory that recently release the VC 222 (wighted, also ) , so congrats to them !

I want to like this watch, honestly I do.... but I keep looking at it and although it's a nice simple classic watch I suppose I just can't think of an occasion in my day (year) that I would wear it!

I tried one on at the Heathrow AD a couple weeks back and it was actually superb on wrist. Pricing at £20k ish though just makes me wonder if you’re not better off looking at a complicated Calatrava in and around that price point. Or for that matter, 1 16600 or 16610 and 1 5996R for the same price!

So basically for me? It’s a watch that if replicated well in all in on. But value wise it is not a gen buy.

This is me - It looks awesome but just doesn't suit my style so I'd probably never wear it.

Movement looks badly decorated with a lot of glued-on stuff that will eventually fall off and ruin it. If it's that badly done, they might as well just leave it.

Not sure if there are any new ones, but don't buy the one pictured here. The dial is nice but that movement is a shit show. It looks like a DHGate level thing with the fake gears and stuff. They have a lot of work to do with the exposed case back.

Nah there's no demand for the 1908 so replicas are still bad
