7750 powered sub keeps stopping

It seems like it has NO power reserve. It will run when moved and just a light swirl. But the second I sit down and quit moving it will stop after a min or two. Any ideas of what might causing this or maybe just time for a service? It has some years on it...

Giving a little turn or two on the crown doesn't help launching it?

no its fully wound. and that doesnt start it...

New symptom:

If I lay it face down it works. But all other positions it stops almost immediately. Any ideas?

Something may have broke off and is loose in the movement.. This happened to me and was fixed by G after a servicing... Now, works better than ever with proper cleaning, lubrication, and regulation.

see if the movement retainer screws are tight, if they are loose the dial can be in contact with the hands or something causing things to stop. Open the back and check for obvious loose stuff
