6538 big crown accurate build and questions

I've been back to Minh discussing 6542 bezel & insert. My previous Minh experience was hands and dial for my Comex SD. All pricey but great.

Dunno what MQ charges for 6542 bezel assemblies but knowing his general price bracket 'kaured_watch' on ebay, another VN seller, has some bezel assemblies right now for what I can safely assume is much less $$$.

Expensive but its the best options available if you are going for a franken build

case is expensive IMO

the phong (jewelryandwatch) case i got for my first 6538 about 10 yrs go was not as good as the case i got from rubyswatch last year

brushing was much worse, chamfers were much worse

my rubyswatch case was 1/2 that price

dial is a decent price but i think phong dials are pretty not good, you'd be better off with an MQ dial (which will probably cost around 1k to 2k)

You can get correct lume pips from Athaya for $10+shipping, looks like he's OOS right now but he restocks regularly from what I've seen; otherwise, Ruby's cases come with the correct vintage style lume pip OOTB and cost about the same as that bivintage case set.

was the t17 you got a superdome or a normal dome? hard to tell the difference sometimes and both were sold as 25-17

looks about right comparing it to mine - you can tell because the edges of the crystal look very round. the service t17 looks noticeably less round at the edges. i think this looks right
