6263 Project. Val23, DW, Vietnam, all the goodies ????

What’s the spec of this beauty?

It is a Cartel base with very extensively reshaped midcase by me (widened lugs, elegant side profile and downwards taper plus slimming from the caseback side), steel bezel by Ruby aged and refinished (and case machined to make it pressure fit as supposed to), the dial is a step version from Ruby, aged to a light cream off-white, the hands are custom made including broaching, Nickel and Rhodium plating, enamel, vintage lume matching the dial, aging, the crown is from Athaya.

The Cartel can be absolutely great. What people usually overlook when working on them is to slim the lug profile from the caseback side (where the springbars sit) and to add width from the top - I can’t stand the slim stick lugs, they are ugly.

Ruby. And the 7020 tube is excellent, I’ve used it in several builds.

Dan, you’re more than welcome to get my watch mixed up with yellows. Hehe.

Looks great though. He has a small project he’s helping me out. Hopefully, mine gets back quick. It shouldn’t take him long to finish mine up.
