The 3800 has the same movement used in the 3kf with a different datewheel. I do think it is achievable.
I will let you know. I have a gen 3800 case I am going to use it with a 3kf movement and gen dw hands and dial. I think the central hands gears will have to be taller though...

F means Factory, so you have 3K...F, MKF, v9F, ZF etc

I had the PF watch for a while, then when PPF release V2 I ordered the dial and hands from a TD. Torobravo was able to get it for me.

Yes we have the same build of PF and PPF dial. I like V2 better for the color. But your preference is your preference. Please show us pictures when the V4 dial comes.

Hi folks!

I just want to share some researches I did to choose the best 5711 for me. It's not a new discussion, but I think it's a different point of view, and hope this could be useful for anyone who needs help or wants to see all of the best factories compared to a gen.

I'm personally going to pull the trigger on the V4, but I think in the next few months can think about assemble a good PF/PPF hybrid with CG mod to finally achieve the best rep I've ever had.

ALWAYS REMEMBER: as many members said, for this rep there's no a 1:1 OOTB, you choose what flaw can be acceptable for YOUR eyes. I'm not going to do any specific comment on the well known differences between pf, ppf(v3/v4) , 3kf, gen.

This post is only done to converge all in some pictures I invite you to analyze. Make your own decision.

Sorry for the V4 pic added at last moment thanks to nobigdeal2010 .

In the next pics you won't see the PPF V4 because the upgrade takes only the dial and the ceramic sphere in the bracelet.

In the top picture, which version PPF is next to the gen? V1, V2, V3?

The PPF v4 dial while better made and looks great on it's own has the wrong color. It has a very pronounced purple tint. The gens have a slight green tint. As with the 3K. Here's a comparison picture I made.

i noticed the new 3kf "gold" and "platinum" versions have the correct case and first link, do you know if the standard version is corrected? i can't buy a watch with that big first link...

Nice watch!! I have the same build but with the PPF v4 dial. Personally, I don't like any of the blue hues of the PPF dials (v2, v3 or v4). Check out the latest v2 3K blue color in the 3K thread. I think it has a better balance of blue/green/grey. It is still not gen (very hard to replicate) but definitely better than PPF.

I hope it so that's why I also ordered the 3KF rendition. Still waiting for the QC pics. Nevertheles I very like PPFv4 nonetheless it misses the green hue that I'd like to be there.

I bought some weeks ago an hybrid 5711 Pf base with PPF dial and hands, spongebob data wheel and all reworked by Legend and it looks like a gen.. I made a comparison with a gen owned by a friend and is incredible.
