i have been reading about the 5711. Overall seems like hardship to match to the GEN is really the dial ? Factories were able to replicate case, bracelet etc?
no it is not that hard , but t o end up with a watch that doesn't look like a pale copy you must study a bit (and also spend more unfortunately).
that said the latest dial are looking very good and although i am a bif fan of the original pf case a a base some here are saying you achieve excellent result in modifying 3kf of ppf ...

modifications sounds more complicated. Maybe i will need to do some research in the forum. 🤔

you have basically everything to build a beautiful 5711 nowadays but to do so that deserves plenty of research before getting the proper sample you 'll fully like....

PS: do not expect to get what you wish to get without investing time and energy (and $ of course)....

Everything depends on what do you know about the gen and what do you expect from the rep. If both are still a little then you can step on one of the following two paths:
- procure the latest 3KF or/and PPF rep, enjoy your stock watch, and call it a day until you reach the point when you exactly know what you want to modify on your watch (eg. dial, hands, DW, bezel, crown, crown guard, left ear of the case, bracelet first links)
- do research to realize what you exactly want before your purchase. It needs time, energy and meanwhile you cannot enjoy the watch on your wrist. Unfortunately at the end there is no guarantee for that you will have exactly the watch you have been dreaming of.

Both ways have their pros and cons and the choice is yours.

I appreciate your kind reply. I will continue to do more research. 🙏

hi guys i need your help on a buff dial 🙂
From what I've read there are three versions (v1,v2,v3) all have slightly rounded indexes. I found a buff dial with rectangular indexes, can you tell me what version it is?

Thank you for your help!

the dial is marked Buff on the back… if you are not sure don’t buy it and I’ll refund you. I don’t want any issue for 90€.

Thanks for the reply. I asked for support to understand which version it was, the request assumes as a condition that it was a dial buff. I expressed the concept clearly :) in this thread the we discussed about the different shades of blue, so I thought it useful to understand the version better ;)

Afaik Buff versions 1&2 was with a boxed logo. Based on the color this one may be v2.

Colorwise it could be a Buff V2.
Buff V1 has a more green blue hue in its color range and smaller horizontal lines.
Buff V3 has a bit less green blue hue than the V1 but more than this one (if it is a V2) and Buff V3 has the non boxed logo.
BUT what makes me wonder are the markers which seem to be too flat (less 3 dimensional) and too square at the edges - Buff should be more rounded and 3d effect afaik.

That is what I thought, too.
Maybe someone changed the markers of this Buff dial from original Buff markers to flat, non rounded markers - but why should someone do this downgrade...?
But if it is a Buff dial for sure it has no Buff markers imo.

It's the V2 Blue dial where the dash on the "A" is too high up and incorrect. That dash is supposed to be lower down on the A.

Thanks for the clarification. But what about the markers. These look untypical for Buff.
