What's up Doc...

The hat off for a true Masterpiece... Even the Gentlemen in Geneve would probably have to look twice...

About the Specs. What's Gen. and what's aftermarket?

Is that so...?

Is this perhaps the platform that you refer to?
Do you build watches on demand?

After all, you do have a certain kind of... reputation on this forum when it comes to building masterpieces...

Yep this is so. This is the same case, just 1.2mm holes and brushed. I have only few of them left so I did this upgrade for all of them. On the photo you have sent is the flat plexi what I do not more use.

I'm an old guy, pure vintage, and i allways swap the saphire crystal for a domed plexy when i build/rebuild or upgrade my projects.
Verlux 303.472 if it's possible, and now i have just ordered a few samples of domed plexys from Lobtime.com just for fun...

Design and shape of the case is of course important for the harmoni but minor incorrect proportions makes the watch much more personal... just like a true microbrand.

Another thing is the shape/design of the crownguard or camfers, but that is more negotiable because it's handmaded my individuals with a touch of natural variations...
I read in a thread for about a week ago a coment about the camfer on the lug of one of your latest project... I just ignored to reply because i did not had the time to explain the charm of a handmade, handcrafted totally unique piece of beauty.

If all those Hangarrounds had done their homework, reading about the actually watch case, the background and so forth, they could and should salute you for your efforts and commitment instead of being picky...

Instead of "complain" about a detail that makes the case totally unique and special, they have to try to see the whole picture...

Back in the days when Rolex was really handmade, 10 pcs. of the 5513 Submariner in a line, not a singel case was identical to another case... True Handmade...

Keep up the good work and trust your skills and experiences, no matter what...

How much for 2 sets of the 5513 cases incl. shipping fee to Sweden?

My 5517 Milsub.
I'm a self taught watchmaker and i try to be as careful and neath with the inside as I'm with the outside.
COSC-specs. of the movement is my trademark and i allways use ETA. Sometimes 2824-2 or if i can find NOS 2472 or NOS 2783...

I know that etas 2472/2783 don't have been COSC certified but both movements have the quality and precicion to achieve the requirements...

Some care with an total overhaul, new oils and grease and a full week in the testrigg...
Personally, for me. eta is most Bang For The Bucks...

drvintage,
What crystal are you now using with the latest batch of 5513 cases? I built two from these (5512 and 9401) and love them, The latest I built now has a small crack in the crystal, i'm not sure how I did that, but I would like to replace it with the same type/model of crystal. The crystals themselves are excellent and I'd like to get the same type/model to ensure a proper fit with the supplied crystal retaining ring. Thank you

If you like the flat style of the plexi crystals, try the Sternkreuz 305.451
You find them at Gleave.london or Cousinsuk.com

Good luck with your builds

Thank you @ swissmadetime1966. But I was referring to the domed crystals that drvintage used in his latest batch of 5513 cases. I tried to replace the supplied crystal, which I managed to crack somehow, with several versions of Clark's T19 crystals I had on hand but the drvintage crystal retaining ring was loose on those (OD of the clark is smaller than drvintage's crystal) so I wanted to purchase several replacements...to have on-hand as replacements and for future builds.

swissmadetime1966. I checked the OD diameters for Clark (30.4mm) and the drvintage (30.5mm) so the XS crystal you mentioned might be the answer. Thank you sir.
