42 mm Explorer 2 date wheel?

I notice one other tell.
The small triangles on the bezel is not as close to the crystal as on the Gen.

These are small tells that most people never notice except us anal freaks.

I didnt notice about the bezel tilll you mention it. could it be the shooting angle of the watch? the gen one is shoot from front whereby the rep from above the table i guess.

So has anyone taken this apart really ? can you measure the distance from center of teh dial to edge of date window to see ? Does this have a DWO at all underneath or is the date in the eta position versus rolex position ?

Anybody stilll notice any flaws on the new Explorer 2 42MM rep beside the datewheel? is the version now is SUPER ULTIMATE version, which won't have anymore changes in the future? actually for the datewheel, i find those are quite the same with gen especially on single digit.

Katt had mine apart here a while ago. I was brilliant and knocked out the keyless on it. I think your idea (RSH) of the eta datewheel with the Rolex font has merit. Now, where to get one? Also the numbers on the bezel and the triangles should be closer to the center and not so far out towards the edge. It's still a good one, and it does in fact have AR on the cyclops. Think this would work? It's not for the 2836, would I have to take the dwo off or would this still work since its for an eta?

Wouldn't an eta DW put the date font too far to the right ??

This dial is substantially bigger than the normal 40mm version.

I find that the datewheel is quite accurate at the centre. Look at the number "22". it is at the middle. Sometimes the gen also don't have such a centre datewheel, am i right?? for me, this rep is already a gen. it is almost 100 percent same..

I've ordered a couple of dwo's up from the latest oversize DJ ii. Looks to be much better on that rep, font is slimmer and smaller. Were only cheap so figured it's worth a shot.

Hopefully it'll fit. Will update once it's arrived and fitting attempted.

Anyone else noticed how the GMT hand is not perfectly symmetrical on any of the new models? And of course, the shade of orange on the hand and dial is ever so slightly off. The DW actually doesn't concern me all that much.

I think the DateWheel is just not centered enough. But actually the font size is accurate. For the color, actually i got realize it too. But it is actually depend on the light angle i think. Overall it is actually a perfect replica with 99.9 Percent BEST 1-1.

I am having Aqua blue while the Rolex site show Deep blue lume just like DSSD.

Anybody managed to mod the date wheel yet? Looked at the gen yesterday & the font is way smaller would really like to swap mine out.

Just got mine back from Pbdad. It has a new datewheel from an eta based rep using the Rolex font. Some improvement over stock, but still not as good as I'd like. Also it has a satin finished crystal, AR'd cyclops, pressure tested/water proofed, regulated movement and Super Luminova lumed dial and hands.

Hate to say it, but it looks the same :-(. I was hoping this would be a big difference.
