While cleaning my Bronzo, I dropped it on to a wood laminate floor. It ran for several days, however yesterday I wound it but it wouldn’t start. The rotor is not spinning. The crown works in all three positions. I am looking for a watch repair person who I can send it to to repair or if necressary replace the A7750 movement. It’s been quite a while since I had any watches repaired and would appreciate any advice on someone who can repair my watch.
Thanks

Can you send a clean photo of the back of the watch from a few different angles?

Here are a few photos of the back of my watch. The rotor is now turning, but there is a part floating around. It appears to be stuck to the back of the glass in some photos, in one it looks like it’s blocking the rotor

It's a deco element which came of the balance bridge. You can clearly see it on the last pic. Just glue it back on?

Ouch. You need to open her up with a rubber ball or with a ball fabricated of sticky tape and remove the loose pieces. If she then runs again and if it is only Deco elements that came off, just leave them or glue them back on with hypocement or epoxy. Don't use superglue as the fumes can damage the dial.

Even when the two pieces are on the back crystal watch still will not run. Seems like there may be more problems inside. I need advice about a watchsmith in the US who can repair or replace the a7750 movement

Try to send a clear picture of the balance wheel. I bet there is a tiny screw lodged in it.

I will do that however, I really don’t have the hand steadiness to attempt any repairs myself. I really need the name(s) of a watchsmith in the USA who can repair the movement or if not repairable replace it with a new movement. Thanks very much for the help.

motivational just do it GIF

Post like these make frustrated because I want to help, but it's up to you(for now) truthfully you really can **probably** get this running again with a few easy steps.

A big ball of duct tape will remove the caseback, watch for the gasket, then use your wife's clean and narrow tweezers to simply grab the loose parts and take them out. Then post a picture of the balance wheel for us. (The thing that spins when running) if you see an obvious screw in there, turn the watch over a bowl and give the crystal a few light taps, see if it dislodges from the balance wheel by itself, otherwise try to gently grab it with tweezers, but try your best not to touch the spring itself. Put the parts in a small container and see if she runs again. This is the perfect job/investigation for someone with no experience tinkering on watches and I would encourage to give it a shot before sending her off, which you can always do.

***if it's truly a hand steadiness or health issue then I completely understand!

Thank you for the information and advice. Considering that I’m almost 80 and really don’t have the fine motor skills anymore. The problem is no one is answering the question I asked originally which was “ does anyone know a watchsmith that can do the work in my watch”?
I do truly appreciate the information and advice., and if I can’t find anyone I will probably get the caseback off and try to fish out all the loose parts. If it works that will be a plus, if not I’ll have a nice bronze paperweight.

You posted your situation in a similar thread in the section "Watchmakers and Horologists". Have another look there. You will need to contact those who are located in the US directly, to get an answer I'm afraid.

You can also make a few calls in your closer area to find a watchmaker who is not associated to any brand and who is willing to have a look at a replica.

Other than that there is nothing further I can contribute or recommend from here (located in Germany). Hope you get this solved soon, all the best

Hope you get your watch working again. It looks like you like it a lot and it's a shame this happened (I can totally relate) so I hope you get in touch with someone who can get your watch working as good as new!

Thanks to a fellow member, he put me in touch with a watchsmith who said to send it to him.
I do have another question? Should he need to replace the movement, which would be the correct one? I looked at Startine supply and they have quite a few configurations. Would the chrono model with seconds @9 and date @ 3 be appropriate? Hopefully he can get all the little bits and pieces out of the watch and it will run again.

If I recall that P9000 clone movement is difficult to source spare parts for, so if something did break then it might just be better to bite and buy another one instead of paying a watch maker $100 to tell you he can't fix it.
