The 380's low profile and low hassle (no date to keep set) is the way to go for me. The KW 388 is probably a nicer watch overall, but it's more expensive too. Think I paid net $100 for my Hfac 380 off a member. Wear it ~once/wk. If you plan to wear it semi-daily, go 388 if you have the cash

I have both and I must say they are both very well made, and very Gen like.

Depend on what u want if u want to wear it for formal occasion, I would say go for Pam 380, as it's thinner, if u wear it for casual and mostly sport occasion, go with the Pam 388.

Thanks to everyone for the thoughtful input.
Here's my take after reading the opinions on these two exquisite timepieces.
Love the cream colored text, silver hands and sandwich dial of the 388.
PAM logo on the 380 adds a nice graphic touch to the face.
I know many of you prefer the date, but to me the watch looks cleaner without it.
Like the seconds hand without the 9.
With all of that said, here is my fantasy Panerai watch, courtesy of Photoshop.

Back to reality, leaning towards the 388.

A nice python strap will make the 380 look incredible! But make sure you buy glue for the screws radiomirs suck for that

Pretty sure DSN can help you build your fantasy if you can live with a sausage dial.
