I have seen & heard of some 3717s with lumed numbers on the dial...

Anyone got such a piece? When&where did you order this piece?

I received my 3717 from Ruby and can confirm that it unfortunately has lume all over the dial. Otherwise, the watch looks great (thinner markers, accurate placement)

the numbers are lumed as well

Here is the quote I found on RG... :/

WTF is this crap...

What do you mean? The perimeter numbers and hour/minute markers (but not subdials) are lumed. No big deal.

I happen to be wearing one right now. Damn good looking watch. 8)

Yes. The one I am wearing in the picture above has lumed numbers. It's a fine watch and gets many compliments. 8)

AFAIK.... it is incorrect for the numbers on the 3717 to be lumed... everything i have seen about this watch in my research leads me to believe it is true...

the 3717 Spitfire does have lumed numbers though...

Turn that frown upside down, zeus. The gen does not have lumed numbers, this is true. So yes, if you are planning to wear it to an Authorized Dealer in the dark, you might get called out. Otherwise, I think all is good.

well... it is important to some people to have it correct...

one is correct and one is incorrect.. you will individually have to make a decision which is better....

All versions of the 3717 rep are incorrect in various ways. Subdial pins color (should be silver; earlier versions are brass), lumed areas in newer ones, winding crown size (bit too big in some versions), date fonts always wrong of course, marker thickness wrong in earlier versions, AR weaker or only single sided in earlier versions, etc. Still, all versions are very nice looking.

If getting it as correct as possible is important, my advice is to get an earlier version and: replace 12,3,6,9 markers with custom thin ones, super-lume the 12,3,6,9 markers and minute/hour hands, swap pins for silver ones, swap day/date wheels for ETA, get crystal double-AR'd.

The new dial just sucks, I have confirmation from member who has bought the watch (too grey).

I am another member who has the new version, and the dial is great. Lumed numbers, yes, but the dial color is not grey. it is black. Dark black. Wesley Snipes black.

Well, the case looks similar. I have seen 2 variation of the case, one with thinner polished parts just outside the crystal, one is larger.

The winding crown is also slightly larger on some versions. I have been told by a dealer that there are at least 3 versions of the 3717... all seem to be better and worse in some ways. Except the grey dial version... if that exists, then that version just sucks

I will try to take pictures of that "grey" dial.

Anyway, yes, at least 2 different case I have seen. Didn't notice about the crown but the case is definitely quite different.
