36mm Datejust franken project // 126234 Blue or silver?

Hi all,

I recently bought a silver 36mm dial for a 36mm franken project for my girlfriend of 5 years.

She broke up with me three weeks ago, so I started with a nice project for myself:
41mm Datejust franken project.
After "finishing" this, I ended up dismantling that watch again since the VS3235 movement broke after a couple of days.

36mm Clean 126234, picked a random color and ordered it. A week later this arrived:

Last week I came across a genuine blue dial for roughly the same price I bought the silver/beige one for:

Plans:
I want to make this a light franken project.
I am not sure if I want to "upgrade" it to a VS3235 again. Since 2 of the 3 VS3235 movements died on me.
My current 126610LV is hanging in there, but showing some weird gremlins too.

I want to upgrade the crystal for a gen. one and upgrade the bezel for a Xing one.

Which color should I build first?

First off sorry to hear about the break up after five years but you don't want anything to do with that silver dial and sell it ASAP... Do you really want to be reminded of her when you look at the watch!!!!... Go with the blue dial with the jubilee bracelet. I have a CF DJ41 with the blue dial with jubilee and it's a very nice looking combination. Good luck....

Thank you so much for your kind words. It really helps hearing this.
I am not sure if I want to sell the dial. It is still linked to her in my brain. But, it might be a nice gift for my future girlfriend/wife. I might just keep it, luckily it is not demanding a lot of space.

Brother we’ve all been through it and you’re better off without her. You really shouldn’t give a new woman that dial. If she ever finds out she’ll take it wrong and it’ll be problems you don’t need. Sell it to someone or trade it for one just like it. Anything but don’t give THAT particular dial to your next woman. It’s bad juju for you man. Just saying

I really dig that blue sunburst dial. It goes well with your bezel. I’ve spent several thousand on Gen parts and Frankensteining or modifications and I’ve come to the conclusion that most of the time the ootb watches don’t benefit proportionally to the amount of money spent. I’m going to leave my stuff stock and buy more watches instead of parts.

I totally agree on most watches, they're good out of the box. (Submariner for instance)
But the Clean crystal is not really that great and I really hate the sunburst dials on replica watches, it always looks off.

Oh yes! Most definitely. I hate those stock dials, the sunburst is a joke. It is OK on an overcast day, but with artificial lightning it is like a discoball.
