But it's a PANERAI picture, It HAS to be true!!!

(The entire arguement's -fact- seems based on the Panerai Published catalogue image content.) There are L SWISS L dialed PAM036s, they are called REPLICAs and were based on the image in the PANERAI catalogue which was incorrect [on purpose?] which Panerai does all the time BTW ...

Nobody has every posted a GEN PAM036 image with a Luminova scribed dial. Trust owner's evidence over the company trying to combat replica makers by providing incorrect detail data ...

I agree with Enzo's opinion.
I just don't believe the mistake on OP catalogue was made intentionally.
Who said something like 'when a mistake can be explained both with stupidity or malafede, the stupidity hypothesis has the highest chance to be the correct one?'

... do they do it "on purpose"? Any maker that provides exact details doesn't do themselves any favours.
I surely agree about 'details' like exact measures, materials, fonts, and so.
Still I have a hard time thinking of pictures, L-vs-T, AR-vs-no-AR, as 'exact details' not to be told true even on an official catalogue...

I believe that was done unintentionally during those first few years of ownership under Vendome. Not many people in Vendome marketing would now the difference, and had some cathing-up to do withPanerai historic details and specifics. It appears that L-dial and other mistakes were simply a product of ignorance and lack of knowledge at that time.

I do not believe it was intentional, i.e. to fool the rep manufacturers, simply because at the time the pic was posted on the official Web site there were bugger all Pam replicas/fakes around to make Vendome pull such a 'trick'.
At that time all you had was few Pam models badly rep-ped in that recognizable canal-street fashion which my grandmother wouldn't have dificulty recognizing from 100m away,as a rep.

Panerai only introduced some what they call 'major' (not really :)) counterfeiting protection methods and add-ons in their 2007 watch production year, like addition of OP logo on the caseback rim, Panerai txt on the underside of deployant clasp etc - just read some articles posted on that gen forum :)
