These are the very first models i am making/repping the panny vintage watches. The 6152-1 which I am selling
is only a MOD from my curent MM20 /rxw case .

Apart from 2533 and 3646,I am repping also the 6152 ,6152-1 and 6154.

Why repping these Panerai vinatage models?

Simply because these Panerai historical models are very unique and beautiful.

Current replicas in the market are either not too accurate or just too expensive.I feel that there
is a demand for more accurate vintage replicas at a more resonable prices. So that our members
could add any of these to their Panerai collections if they like.

When I decided to rep these models,I went to Enzo, the vintage panny master for help and assistance.
I would not have started making these models without his willingless to help.

vintage pannies are much more difficult to rep than the mordern panny watches.
For mordern Panerai watches i can go to watch dealer shops to touch it,feel it or even buy it.
After dismantle it and copy all the necessary parts.I can re assemble it back and sell it out as a second hand
watch with all the paper and box packing.

These historical watches are simpy very rare and very expensive.impossible for me to touch and feel each of
these in my own hands.I can only admire them and copy them from pictures.

I got tons of info from the web but not all of them is 100% accurate,I need expertise advice
or clarifications on many issues such as the crown and hands spec.Enzo works as my back up consultant
on many aspects. He made me drawings, sent me pics and links etc and answers all my questions. He is really a living
library of all the panerai vintage details.Thank you Enzo for you help!

We are putting our best efforts to rep these vintage models as close as possible I would say that my models are
relatively more accurate than others in the market. But they are still not perfect.I need your feedback badly
to move our way closer to a perfect rep.

All parts and the complete watch are available for sale soon.I will put them for a formal offer in greater details
in my dealer section seperatly. Thus just feel free to post your comments on this thread.

Also more pics been up loaded in my photobucket alblum.Pls visit it to see more pics.

or e mail me at [email protected] if you have any quesitons.

lets examine my first 2533 closely together

2533

The first prototype watch, using a 47mm Rolex case with a Rolex movement and a Rolex winding crown, is called “2533â€

Amazing stuff, I would love to see the option of 'aged' lume and hands streaight from the factory like some of the guys have done with their projects in the past. I don't have the expertise for that and would love to be able to buy a watch that looks 'old'.
Many thanks!

Very nice. I looked at your photobucket. I haven't seen side views of gen 2533 or 3646 but your plexglass looks too tall from an aesthetic point of view. So does your 6152-1's plexiglass. Here're 2 side views of the gen 6152-1. There could be many variations of the plexi, but I think these looks good.

and your 6152-1's

Anyway, I am saving money for your vintages and others. BTW, I emailed you about getting your 6152-1 with some customizations. Please reply me soon. Thanks

one question: is the rolex crown a screw-down. I hope not. It may be on the gen. But it's not practical for a hand-wound (stripping can happen on a daily winding basis). Is it not kosher to change that? I would consider that an improvement over the gen. Ziggy did that for a 210, I think, because the crown tube thread was stripped. I personally don't need that 5% non-visible true-to-the-gen accuracy.

Want to add this: I don't think I need to or can afford to collect any other watches. I now only have a davidsen budget.

If you do not have a screw down crown you have no water resistance at all and these are divers watches so it's not about minutae details but basic function. The crstal on the 3533 should not be a raised plexi but a shallow dome. They were only raised on the 6152's.

Feeling Lucky

that we have you and enzo working your magic for this community. every pan lover eventually falls for the historic/vintage models, and since nobody has taken the time to really do a good job rep'ing those, i think i can speak for all of us when i say hats off to you, davidsen (and enzo) for devoting your attention to this! there is definitely a market for it, as my wallet will soon attest to! and regardless of the market, it's just great to watch the ever-evolving attention and artistry you both display with your projects.

these are fantastic starts. i love what you did with the movement.

if i were to provide any critique, it would also be (1) the plexiglass seems too out of proportion - i.e., big and bulgy; and (2) the font seems a bit off.

i also think that instead of a riveted strap, you should consider using two layers of thick, aged leather and do something like greg stevens has done. see link below. every vintage i've seen has a simple strap without the rivets...but i guess for a fixed/welded lug, you need it otherwise the strap will have to be sewn into the watch.

finally, this may be personal taste (and certainly not historically accurate) but i think for a lot of us, a 44mm version of these watches would be great to be able to buy. a mini fiddy 212 case, perhaps, if you can get them.
