The challenge with a 055 or 061 is to find a decent dial. DSN's brown is way off.

Personally, I wouldn't spend the extra cake for a Swiss movement. The A6497s have the correct beat rate (more important with running seconds than with a base dial) and have proven to be rock solid in most cases. The Swiss is no longer worth the premium, IMO.

FGD and HelenArou are still sources for Pre-V style hands. As COLDI said, the dial will be the hardes thing to source. I would suggest starting to compile your other parts and ping FGD about when he might be doing another run of 205/A dials...

On a related note, I just received my Pre-A 002 dial and Pre-V hands from FGD in the mail this week! Woot!

CG is a huge factor in a good Pre-V, LH is the key for a grail build but those are harder to find in the wild. Unless you can find an ETA 6497-2, a regulated A6497 is fine.

hooligan, Vac sent my Pre-A 004 with the dial I got off you a few months back, can you say vintage lume? Now if I could find a EL CB I'd be money.

Thats a TB cg that hijack dlc'ed I think...

No, it's a Toro CG, Hijack over at RG DLC'd a few of these and miraculously the DLC matched my PVD, color and finish are the same.

The strap is hand-made, again RG came through on the parts.
