If you have to choose one, start with the 111 and go from there. That's the advice I took from these forums and I have no regrets besides the fact I can't stop buying pams!! This never would have happened if I didn't "lose" my cheapie fantasy TAG (and find last week).

If you only have $ for one and only, I'd say take 390.
I own both but I find my self lean towards 390 more for its simplicity and gen-ish feel and decided to let go 111 v3.
But hat doesn't mean 111 v3 is not a good watch to begin with, just a matter of preference.

When your need bacame the passion : one Pam is not enough, you will have a ton of reasons to buy more and more Pam. For me I start with 390 and then 005, 305, 082 372 and 360. Thanks and my english is badly,too.

well I was exactly in same situation as you as couldnt decide what to get between pam 111 and 390. However, like some members said here, I chose PAM 390 as my first rep because of its simplicity, dial color and also more importantly for me it is closed case back.
With first rep, in learning stage of its movement and etc, I dont want to get something like see through case back meaning you would never know what gen would look like. But i would recommend do some research on this forum on PAM 111 and also on PAM 390, and you would know what are the flaws. Then you choose which one you would more prefer and acceptable for your point of view.
Now I got my PAM 390 but in less than a month receiving my first, Im ordering PAM 111 Noob V3 with some mods. So my recommendation is to do some research only on these two models, its the fun bit. Good luck.
My first Pam was the noob pam029 v2. I now have a noob pam390 on the way and am planning to get a noob pam356 next month. I really don't care much for the unmodded open case back pams. I am on the list for one of Merlin's modded pam127s though. So I would pick the 390 over the 111.
if the question is about which one has less flaw would be more acceptable,and usually which one is the best depends on individual,like even if the 390 is the better rep but since i like sandwich dial i will go for 111...

Since im in a hunt for my very first pam rep i want to get both but with limited capabilities i can only get one

390 is a limited production of 2000 pcs while 111 is continuous production.
Having a limited production piece means it's unique and probably not much people have seen the gen and notice the flaw on the rep. Vice versa for the 111.

390 is not rare, at least for now. Do a google search yourself and you can still find a lot of new or pre owned 390 for sale. If you are talking about 360, it can be consider rare as only 300 pieces are specially made for Paneristi tenth anni but definitely not 390.

A limited/special edition watch that have thousands of people in the world owning it is not rare. 111 is better because it have better hand color and lume color? You mean the hand color and lume color of the 390 is more obvious than the 111 flaw it have on the movement?:rofl:
After lots of research. Pam 111 is closest to gen.
