Both are from the same factory and I believe they are equal. They are both out of stock though.

New stock will arrive, though. Just check with the trusted dealers.

177 is titanium, 005 is stainless steel. Pick your poison.

177 = display caseback with movement that is not 100% accurate to gen.
005 = closed caseback so movement appearance does not matter.

While I do believe new stock will show up, I have no idea when it is going to occur as all the dealers have been giving dates and then not meeting the date.

I want to know why the 177/005 movement can not be the same as 111J ? I loved movement of the 111J, especially quality of the engraving.

The 177 has quickly become my favourite watch, the quality, look and feel is perfect. I know the movement isn't 100% accurate but unless you gave it to a gen owner to look over nobody would know. When it's on your wrist it's incredibly accurate and nobody would call you out, I used to love the stainless finish of the 111/005 but the weight of the titanium 177 makes it a real pleasure to wear.

I agree ....
Though I have a 111J movement & dial on it's way, that will be superlumed and movement serviced, and placed in my 177L ...

Getting the 111j movement into a 177L would be the perfect mix, and a possible futureroject for me too. Out of interest though, why would you use the 111 dial? I can't see why that would be a better option than the already superlumed 177 dial.

one comment though, that will make the lume slightly weaker as the 177L has a super thick layer of lume on it!

if u use the right lume would not make it weeker maybe touch stronger
here is 177 from factpry and 111j superlumed by me c3/c1 superfine mix

Sead you are correct, but what i am trying to say if the lume was not applied in the proper way it will never be as bright as the h-factory pams.

Lume bright is dependance on 3 things

1) Quality of lume
2) Thickness of application
3) surface area

If you can get all 3 right, i don't see why you cannot achieve the level of brightness of the h-factory pams.

I put in a high-beat movement in my 177L :) ... wowww that's a big improvement, the noise ( ticking ) has been reduced by half !!
And is has engraved Panerai , .... still no where near a gen movement, but an improvement over the crappy low-beat from the factory :(

Does the "new" M series come with a high-beat or still that junk movement ?
